Not much of a topic but, in Roy Masters column today in the SMH, he said we are still paying Sheens. We ( WST ) , have not reached an agreement.

Whatever happens I hope Sheens takes a pommy job and gets right away from here.
 
I think the one that signed off on this decision is the one that needs a new job, it'd be the chop at any other club

Talking about chops…It seems that there was no Board meeting in 2011 when Danks got chopped and Irvine and Flanno were in charge..wouldn't it be ironical if both got chopped and Sheens got to coach a lot of his former players in 2013?
 
Sure is. He's pretty much put his sacking on the senior players at the club and I quote "well put it this way, players get rid of coaches."

Talking with Bellamy about NRL club Doctors..

They did play a footy show clip of benji from sep 2012 saying 'if there is a better coach out there then maybe his time is up'

Also said "younger players - if you tell him it's black and it's white, he'll still believe it's black, but the older players might be struggling with their form and for whatever reason isn't happy or his form isn't happy so he looks externally instead of internally. And that generally causes the demise of coaches."

This blokes ego knows no bounds, any shred (there wasnt much) of respect I had for him is now gone

Sorry I tend to agree, Sheens just lost respect from the senior players
His style is best to watch every final we made or crucial game was lost by egotistic plays from senior players….
Sheens needs a brisbane., st george style of team

We don't need to worry about Sheens anymore. You all have more important things to worry about. Like, why is Ayshford fit to play after suffering such a serious concussion, or why Lawrence who's form has been crap and suffered a serious knock is playing, or why MM is playing, having come off the park in pain in the last NSW trial. Are these guys fully fit? Aaron Woods 19th Man - C'mon why the tease Mr Potter? - he's either fit or f&8654d. I think all teams named extended benches this weekend - we won't be as per program by a long shot!
 
Sheens is history , don't care about the bloke … If Sheens kept to his word like he said "if we don't make the 8 then i will leave " refering to last year . The club paid your wages for 10 years when no other club wanted you and now is still trying to skint us ... yeah i know he had a contract and all the rest .... but that was his word.
Look at the roster he had a couple of years ago and the disharmony he has brought amongst our players .
Don't care about the bloke... Good Riddance to him.
 
Pretty low by Sheen's but i'm going to look at the positive.

Beni's been sacked as NZ captain and outed by sheen's as an instigator of his sacking.

Surely highly motivated this year…. not that he hasn't been in the past. Run Benji..run.

It's a shame the club can't do the right thing by Sheens after all a contract is a contract.

btw 4 forward on the bench the new coach has got me already :slight_smile:

At the time, I actually thought that Benji handled this question quite well considering he was asked to choose between his coach and his club (whom he probably new were looking to sack Sheens). I was also glad that he finally put away the "if you don't re-sign Sheens, you won't re-sign me."
 
Yeah its tome for Tim to move on. Coming out with these words now is disruptive and it feels like he is holding a grudge.
