Yeah he 's got some of the TNT in him

Qld Cup has some very good diamonds in the rough there

Put some NRL polish on them and they could be anything

We as a club need to be looking outside the square , look at the Cows and the Broncs they bring players in from Qld Cup and they barely miss a beat

I like the ideas on this thread. I think these types of signings are they guys we need to be going after. We need some outside backs critically and then possibly a backrower.

I think we have to though try and have a fast backline next year with some depth as the highest priority.

This is Bird, this is Gallen, this is Klemmer. just needs maturity and the right coach.

But nah we go for bench players like Pauli Pauli lol.

Don't worry TFTG, we can easily coach that out of him! 😕

Seriously, I agree with how you think on this. We don't need the inconsistent, hard to motivate players. We need players that want to play tough, that want to be dominant, that want to use every kilo of size they have.

That's how the NRL is played successfully these days and it's the thing we just can't seem to understand.

I haven't seen many Qld cup games but have heard it's a lot stronger than NSW cup & NYC. Might be a better option than saving our pennies for a marque signing.

Tim Glasby - Big Skillful and plays with lots of energy in the backrow

Hymel Hunt is one who can play Centre and Backrow

I forget his name, but the Blackhawks Captain has a good motor for Prop. With changes coming, having props with big minutes will be very useful

You seen much of Ben Spina, he played against us this year for the Cowboys but was a little off the pace. Other times ive seen him he has looked really strong. Hows he going?

If we are genuinely chasing the players in question id be more upset with this than any other rubbish the club and coach have dished up this year.

Heading for the dark ages if this is the strategy.

Idris, Pauli and Topou are not the types of players we need.

They are all inconsistent, mentally weak and offer absolutely no improvement to our club culture..

They are Wayne Pearce types of signings and if true the sooner the board wake up to this rubbish the better.

Well then these guys would fit in very well. It seems to me that is exactly what is wrong with our players, they appear complacent have lost all spirit which I guess can come from not winning games, I really don't know what is happening, all was going well in pre season, and for the first 5 or 6 games of the season proper, and then loss after loss.

So as a long serving member and fan of this club I am extremely disappointed at the way things have gone this season, I expected a different result.
Lets hope if some of these new recruits do come to our club that they are willing to put in 100% and get us winning games again. :crazy :brick: :brick:

Would love a Hurrell/Kata type centre. Fonua is probably the only similar type player off contract.

I'd also take a look into Matt Duffie at the Storm. Has been killing it in reserves.

Wish Woodsy would talk Klemmer into coming to the Tigers too haha.

Idris with respect has a lot of off field problems and is very inconsistent. That type of player isn't necessarily a good thing to have around the place when we're already inconsistent.

Hell, stuff it, have a crack at Bird. He's a nut bag but he has balls and will bring a hard edge to the team.

Doesn't he enjoy the collision! Not overly quick but looks like a good solid winger.

Well we need a replacement for Richards. So who do you suggest. I like all three. But coaches will have to work hard for them to fire that's for sure.

I think Nofo & Simona should be our wingers with Seve at left centre. Give Kev a crack at right centre now & see how he goes.

If this year has showed anything it's nofo and kev cannot be on the same side anywhere near each other in defence . Swapping kev to centres is not going to fix the defence nightmare this year has showed.

I think kevin Naquama in our top 17 shows how lacking in quality backs we are. Sadly he would be one of our best outside backs currently. Personally i rate him as fringe first grader, We need outside backs desperately!

We need at least one centre agreed.

Kev makes the odd mistake. Blame him for those. No argument

However I disagree when you blame him for Nofos bad reads when playing in the centre and lack of cover for Kev when the bombs went up. Then you say Kev is not up to NRL standard. Nofo is the senior player here does that mean he is a fringe player as well?

Russell, i assume you are more quoting littletiger in your reply?I certainly dont blame him for nofos bad reads at centre. I agree nofo seems to make alot of bad reads in the centres. For me nofo is a winger only. A gun winger though
