Should Brooks be NSW 7?

No for origin. James Maloney and Brett Hodgkinson, would be better suited for NSW halves.

This may appear to be selfish, don't care, he Luke Brooks is **needed** at wests tigers.

Not this year, although Brooks is a shot at a Daly M if he keeps this up.

Watching at Brookvale yesterday though, I realised DCE is a much better origin chance than Brooks, and seeing them head to head that seemed ridiculous.

Is that the bastard son of Brett Hodgson and Trent Hodkinson or something?

Just listened to the Inside NRL podcast

Soward reckons he should be selected with Maloney, also Reynolds backed him up and agreed

A lot of interest for Brooks to play, if he keeps this up for the next 5-6 weeks I can’t see him not getting picked

If Pearce is selected for NSW I won’t watch

James Maloney at 6
Luke Brooks at 7

That’s the way I see it

With Keary at 14

6\. Maloney
7\. Brooks
9\. Koroisau
14\. Cook

spine most likely will be

1\. Tedesco
6\. Maloney
7\. Pearce
9\. McInnes

17\. Cook

According to Paul Kent, Teddy will not play origin and Tommy Turbo is penciled in to play fullback

Pearce won't get picked. It will be either Maloney and Keary or Maloney and Blake Green.

Four good games to start the season doesn't make you the front runner for Origin when you've shown no consistency up until that point.

The funny thing is that Blake Green falls under the same reasoning…..

That bloke was never regarded a chance for NSW but these past few games he’s been playing well.

Keary maybe but I see him being selected as a 14

Luke Brooks is the form 7 in the NRL

He’s leading the Daily M

He’s been instrumental with our rise this season

He’s kicking game to acquire resets has improved massively, along with his running game.

We should be basing it on form, and as I said if he keeps it up for another 6 weeks he deserves it... atm it’s just about him showing consistency

Just my opinion

Brooks is going so well would hate to seem him get thrown in the Origin arena too early and have that dent his confidence.

I think Blake Green has been a much more consistent footballer.

I can understand that but we’re more going against him playing not cause he isn’t good enough, but cause we’re scared of origin maybe hurting his confidence if they don’t go well and also cause we want him playing during that period for the tigers

Blake Green has been consistent in a sense, but consistently average no where near Origin level

If he does get selected I guess we can see J Rey play in the halves so it’s not too much of a negative in that regard

Look you'd want to see this form continue through to SOO time before considering it

If Fittler was to pick him I'd hope that they give him 2 series to get acclimatised to SOO , different kettle of fish

Biggest concern for me if I was a NSWmen would be the possibility of having 3 SOO debutants in your spine with McInnes and Turbo

Origin is usually players selected after high level play for successive years. I think Maloney is a certainty and Cleary if fit.
Otherwise it’s probably Maloney/Keary.
If he keeps this up for 12 months he will be there next year.

Not this year
Luke needs to show consistency throughout the whole year and take us deep into the finals first
If he can do that and start next year like he has this year then he will get his shot
Until then he is ours
Imo

Some of the other names thrown in the ring another Malony are not seasoned performers.

If they are being considered then why not brooks.
