Should/Will RF get his Leichhardt farewell given we are out of contention?

He deserves a farewell and those who say otherwise clearly had no intention of going to support him anyway. However there are a heap of fans that turn up every home game and have supported Farah through out his career with us who deserve the opportunity to give him a send off. Like him or not it is the right thing to do.
In saying that if he has signed with Souths it is odd that it hasn't been announced so won't be surprised to see it confirmed after the season is over to prevent further controversy for the club.

We're all assuming he's going
According to him he may not.
It's all a bit presumptuous.
But if he does leave, and doesn't get a farewell…. It would be a shame because this is what club cultures are built on.
In 14 years time... 2030 when it's the 25th anniversary of our maiden comp and they're doing reunion things... It would be good if everyone was coming back solely with great memories... Unfortunately we have too many leave on bad terms it seems... High profile. Ones at least

So put him in the back of an SS ute and give him a lap of honour at halftime.

I'm that far over it I don't care what they do.

If we're definitely out of contention, and if he has publicly confirmed a move elsewhere then I've no issue with him getting a farewell. Will be a nice touch to forget all the garbage for one last afternoon. Would make sense from a marketing perspective too, as a dead rubber may be a tough sell.

That said, I doubt it'll happen.

What he said.

Ditto

Double Ditto!!

I think we are all over it - it really shouldn't have come to this - but once they dropped him and left him there it was never going be a happy ending.

Couldn't agree more, just want it to be over now.

It does seem strange that a lot of our high profile players of the last 5 or so years have left on sour terms. Wonder whose fault it is though…..the club has been run like a shoddy bush set-up for many years but high profile players usually have high profile egos as well and have a bit more scope to tell the side of the story that suits their agenda.
Both sides to blame probably in most cases.
In our first 10 years of existence players were generally sent off in a fine style that acknowledged their good efforts for our club, as it should be.

Of course he should, just like he should have been in the 17 for the past month. You should always pick your best available players…...But it will not happen, although with the season dead and the likelihood of a average crowd, Pascoe and the marketing team might pull rank and make it into a event. They would be mad not to

This is the kind of sentimental nonsense that ensures that the club will not progress forwards.

This is a professional and competitive environment, If he's not up to it anymore then he shouldn't be playing.

Thanks for the memories and the service, but RF is not the WT and WT are not RF.

Seriously can't believe people are actually thinking like this.

On many occasions I have seen staff leave a company after 25 years good honest service, get a redundancy package and not even get a send off from the company.

Yes - on his way to leading us to a premiership next year.

How good would this be. I hope Robbie isn't here next year though. It's too much drama unless JT decides to play him and try and win the comp.

Benji Marshall one of the real heroes of 2005 have a relatively low key exit after something like 10 or more years with Wests Tigers. It is mainly today is a big money game. How many can remember the old days were player testimonials were common? Today they just don't happen.

Which do you think Farah would favour - a redundancy package or a Leichhardt farewell?

No 250 for Farah
>
It passed without notice that Robbie Farah was left out of the Tigers team this week, meaning the final chance for him to reach 250 games during the regular season is gone. The Tigers play their final game at Leichhardt Oval in the last round.
>
The injury to James Tedesco meant dummy half back-up Jordan Rankin was slotted in at fullback for Friday night's clash with the Panthers. Still there was no thought from Tigers coach Jason Taylor to bring Farah in for that game or the last three to get him to 250 games. It rammed home the point that Farah is done at the Tigers.
>
What is hard to comprehend is how he is not even good enough to slot in on the bench. In a side struck by injury, he had to be picked.
>
There is some thought that even from a marketing point of view, at the very least, there could have been an argument to play Farah in the final game of the season for game No.250\. That would have dragged in some significant money for the club.
>
And this is where it starts to get ridiculous. The Tigers are willing to stump up $600,000 for a rival club to snap up Farah.
>
That implies they see him as a $300,000-a-season player because his total deal is worth $900,000 a season. There are not too many reserve-grade-quality players earning that kind of coin.
>
And while playing him in second grade it could be viewed they are further driving his value down, making it harder to get another club to pay the $300,000\. The treatment is difficult to fathom.

According to Dinny the treatment is difficult to fathom, but shouldn't he know a bit about why he is being treated in a certain way, considering nearly every week we read a new article about Robbie in his column, makes you wonder where he gets his inside info????

Could be a good chance to get another game under Jacob Liddle's belt for next season.

Thinking of the future.

2nd tier cap, he cant play coz raiders still in contention and can change the top 8 depending on if they win/lose.

to answer the questions

yes
yes

Play both Dene and Robbie for a final Leichhardt farewell.

JT has talked up how he has changed our defence. Only Newcastle has worst defence in 2016, 6th worst defence in 2015, not seeing improvement our defence is 31 points better with 2 games to go, I am seeing it going worse.

Can we stop talking about Robbie and start talking getting rid of JT
