Seeming that the Wests Tigers are targeting centres in 2016, Kirisome Auva'a would be a terrific purchase for the club. He was pivotal towards the back-end of the premiers season last year (Rabbitohs), and contributed for the full 80 minutes of their grand final win against the Bulldogs; whereby he scored the decisive and essentially match-winning try. He is a hard running, quick player with a great deal of strength to surpass defenders - covering all the delusional attributes of a centre. However, at the end of last season, Kirisome assaulted his wife and faced a minimal jail sentence. Upon recent inquiry by Auva'a to the NRL about his hampered contract, terms were agreed that he may be eligible to play in August, if not definitely by next season - whereby he is off-contract. It almost seems certain that the Rabbitohs will release Auva'a from his contract for obvious disciplinary reasons and the fact that they have purchased numerous centres for this, and upcoming seasons. Therefore, making a switch to the Tigers perfect if we want to go down that route. A deal from the tigers is definitely possible, as shown with our Matthew Lodge and James Gavet transactions whereby Potter offered them a 'last-ditch' contract to save their NRL career's. Additionally, not only would Auva'a be a massive signing for us, but we could snag him for cheap money - due to the contract situation. The quicker we pounce on this deal the more likely we are of signing him and making the top eight.
