Signing Rumours..

Does anyone know who our goal kicker will be next year?

Maybe Simona can get in some kicking practice over the off-season. There's our kicking strike winger right there. He'd get plenty of opps playing outside Idris.

I think you will find the club has a bit of cap for next year available. The subsidising of Farahs contract is no where near the reported figures of $750 to $800k that the crappy telegraph quote. I think you will find we are paying around the $550 to $600k mark.

So say souths are paying $350 to $400k, plus Halatua retiring who would of been on around the $250k mark, Addo Car around $150k and Cherrington $100k. There is spare cap money of around $850k to $900k.

So Elijah Taylor would be after $350k to $400k, Idris $200k and Vaughn $300k to $350k. Plus you have to consider a few small third party deals from the like of Harry for say $25k to $50k each and it could easily happen.

Doing those rough figures i think the club could have a good crack at re-signing ET and signing Vaughn and Idris. I think chucking in a fourth signing like Lichaa would be wishfull thinking.

Do you have any inside info on how much WT are subsidising Farah's contract next season MightyTiger or is it just a guess?
I don't know why that whole issue of Farah's contract and how much both Souths and WT are each paying towards it is such a closely guarded secret, it just adds to fans' frustration.

The only figure that I've seen anywhere is 750 big ones.
Have never seen any other,
Doesn't make it accurate , but it's been consistently reported. No denying it from the club.

Neither South's or the Tiger,s will release the true amount that either club is paying for Farah.

The club has not offically confirmed Idris but if they do my question is where is the re signing of ET
We sign Idris we need some form of money to pay him so what's the hold up on ET , it's been awhile since there was talk of his re signing , Farah has Gone , Dean retired , so why so long to resign him but jump on Idris
I like the Idris signing for 1 year but in my opinion ET should have been priority over Idris

WT get Jamal,i have heard Vaughan is off to the dragons,Lichaa is ordinary not sure how he has played nrl, have also heard old Benji is deciding between the Storm and Parra for next season.

Unless there was a mjor variance in the amount of money, or the length of the contract, I would be going to Melbourne. He would not need to overplay his hand, and could play as a running 5/8, where I think he could still make an impact.

Nothing stays a secret for long in Rugby League clubs

He'd be mad not to choose Melbourne. If anyone can get the best of out him and not tolerate him bludging, it would be Bellamy.

One of Ali's most recent posts;

- Craig Garvey is being chased by the Dragons and Tigers for season 2017 and beyond!!!

garvey would be a good pickup… kicks goals and plays hooker

Ali has a worse strike-rate than The Lurker.
Which is a special feat considering The Lurker has a strike rate of 0.01%

If we have signed Mcllwrick we don't need to spend on a hooker, we need to spend money elsewhere, if not then he would be ok.

I read the Lurker daily.. You don't rate him?

He trolls forums like this for his info.

Been plenty of times when he's been caught out.
I remember a guy on Twitter making up a rumour about a retiring NFL player wanting to come to the NRL, it was an obvious piss take but sure enough The Lurker gave it a run in his column with the usual 'my sources tell me'

Ali gets all his gossip from Nathan Ryan from Foxsports. So really, all those puff pieces about rumoured signings from Foxsports are no different than Ali some random blokes facebook page

So it looks like we've got rid of the cheaper yet (at the very least) equally talented Cherrington to buy Lichaa.

And this club wonders why the cap is a mess. There's a constant here and that is the same blithering idiot in control of the recruitment and retention.

We need someone who knows what they are doing.
