Signing Rumours..

would much rather Kane Evans over Gubb or would take Jarrad Kennedy for a cheap backrow option seeing that Manly have taken Lloyd Perrett who was on a huge contract at the dogs.

Both players have played in strong packs, be interesting how they would go in a pack like ours. I would take either, but if had a choice I would probably lean slightly towards Evans

We've been after Gubb a few times before….
Why don't we just finally seal the deal :S

Too stupid . Not only gives away penalties , but he doesn't care where he gives them away.

We don't seem to agree too often but I'm 100% with you on this one.

The Warriors are playing hardball with Charlie Gubb in refusing to release him from the option they hold on him for 2017.

Three other NRL clubs, including the reigning premiers, Cronulla Sharks want to sign him for next season, for significantly more money than he’s on now, but the Warriors insist on keeping hold of him.

The 26-year-old prop has worked his way up from being a non-contracted player, through the reserve grade team, to be one of the regular faces in the 17 each week for the Auckland club.

He signed a contract in early 2014 with the Warriors, which ran until the end of the 2016 season, although the club would also hold an option for 2017 as part of that deal.

Hi boys,
Tunksy…I wish you would inform yourself with the issues at Wests Tigers that you have
been constantly mis-informing your listeners about.

Wests Tigers are NOT run by the NRL, a recent statement from the club, in reply to a SMH article goes as follows:
Wests Tigers would like to clarify the Club’s ownership structure following an article published in the
Sydney Morning Herald written by Adam Pengilly today.
>
The Club would like to make it clear that it is not owned, or controlled, by the NRL.
>
Wests Tigers ownership model is very clear, the Western Suburbs Magpies own 75% and the Balmain Tigers own 25%.
>
The article references a loan from the NRL, Wests Tigers would like to make it clear that the Balmain Tigers
currently have an existing loan with the NRL.
>
The Balmain Tigers received a loan from the NRL in recent years, and is being charged interest at commercial rates.
Wests Tigers have no financial obligation to this loan.
>
The Balmain Tigers are separate from Wests Tigers, with neither entity owned by the NRL.

Gday Ink and others, as we left the snow in Japan to fly into balmy Thailand yesterday, I won't be able to listen to the broadcast of the proposed interview per above. As I am pretty well more of a technotard than Happy, just wondering if one of my fellows can be bothered to paste a link to assist myself and other out of town forumers?

Thanks, Bryce

I sometimes listen to the show when driving - Tunks infuriates me with his stupid opinions that he makes out are fact. I heard 5 minutes today and he was banging on about knights supporters buying shares in the club, Yes its a possibility if the NRL agree but this jerk made out as though the supporters will have control of the club and what a good thing that would be. At best the shares would probably cover 10% ownership and maybe one position on the board. But not according to Tunksie - the fans will own and run the club. Laughable.
