Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Richo’s comments indicate that Blore for Olam is likely and hopefully some movement on the Nofoaluma front or elsewhere in regards to deadwood.

given his prioritisation of pathways I’m very interested to see who the development spot is handed to. exciting week ahead.
Re. Noffa, that would cap a great off season if we can get rid of him. Hopefully a couple more signings to strengthen the side for 2024. Everything is looking positive….for the first time in a decade.

Can we watch Sullivan, Fainu and Galvin play this season before deciding who should be shipped off.
Saints moved Hunt to hooker to get Bud in the team at half, so they must've had an opinion of him.
Can we give the kid a chance to play a game before writing him off as surplus.

Pezet as an example for Melbourne is not costing them 500k like Sullivan would be costing us if he doesn't get a run in 2025
Also think we need to be blooding TDS to take over the 14
TDS has a big future but there's still no rush with him and a specialist 9 on the bench completely hamstrings a team in the modern game

When people say too many halves we need to remember our starting halves played 22 games between then last year while Will Smith and Brandon Wakeham combined for 19. Depth is so important and as such I am more then happy to have Laui, Sullivan and Fainu at the club.

I've watched Sezer the last couple of years in Super League.
He really doesn't do much. He's a steadying influence with a decent kicking game.
If Sullivan proves himself and looks comfortable I can see him taking over the show after about 10 rounds.

I think Bud plays a big part next season hopefully he can outplay Sezer puts us in a strong position. If one or both of the young halves put their hand up in the next year or 2 Bud could be the quality utility off the bench.
But would he be satisfied with that who know's, then there's Da Silva we have to bring him along at some point but you really need that utility on the bench as opposed to a specialist 9.

I don’t see Sullivan lasting 2 seasons with us, let alone 4. He will be the first to go given the strength of our halves stocks.
Fainu could do an ACL, Luai could break his neck and have to medically retire. Way too early to predict.

That alone is a major improvement for us on the last decade.
