Sharks resign Wade Graham

Not coming here then.

That’s good, okay he can play, but would have cost us a motza and there is a big injury cloud hanging over him. We have to save the big dollars for a player who is about to hit the top of their game not one who is on the slide

Sorry SuperCoach- not having a dig at you here **but gee, what player is good enough?** According to us they’re either too slow, too small, a plodder, past their best, untried, can’t defend, can’t attack, not a good bloke, too nice a bloke.
Let me tell you - Wade Graham would make our top 17.

One that isn’t approaching 30, halving just come off a knee reconstruction. He has “yesterday’s hero” written all over him. For as many people saying he’d be a bad signing, there would be just as many calling him a bum and berating the club for signing another has been.

Maybe we should think about players at the 30 age range, Gallen is still playing at 37\. If he came to us 4 years ago wanting a 3 year contract (at a reasonable price) how many would have said no?*
Flipping the issue, I don't think our injury management plans are as good as other teams. Were building our 'center of excellence' while the Roosters can have 3 people massage an older player to health.
Can we manage tridecadodians as well as our younger players? I think us tigers have a weakness

* Ok there are personal reasons. But Gallen as a forward has performed very well for the sharks past 30

He's a pretty average hooker from a fan's perspective.
But I don't think Kaysa is much better.

Reed Mahoney ( Qld u20s hooker ) probably plays 9 at Parra this year

Prospect.

Won't set the world on fire….

Heard talks that Parra wouldn't sign Segyaro whilst Norman was there but with him gone they may make a play.
#9 has been their weak spot for years.

These guys mentioned aren't guns.

What are you trying to say Demps? That Parra will sign James Segeyaro, Man I like that player.
Or that Parra will realise they need a hooker and go to us wanting Liddle and we should get Sereyaro?
(which we won't).

Unless Mitch Moses has pull on Liddle, I doubt anything will change WT side. Segeyaro would be a good signing for Parra.

Dunno.
Saying Parra never have a decent #9 and They have never addressed it.

Greg Eastwood has signed with Newtown jets apparently

Who are they the feeder team for these days? Roosters isn't it? (Used to be Souths) Or am I thinking of Norths?

I thought they were a feeder to Cronulla, things may have changed

Raiders have signed a bloke called JJ Collins, who happens to be no other than JJ Felise. Right out of the Makasini Richter playbook.

Anyone able to shed light on the name change?

It's his mother's maiden name which he decided to take up because his father wasn't much involved in raising him. Timing wise he's planning on getting married so he wanted to change his name prior to the wedding (I guess his fiance is taking on his surname).

Nothing too esoteric. According to Prof Google it's to honour his mother (Collins is her maiden name). Apparently his father wasn't a big part of his life growing up but, as often happens, his mum was there through thick and thin. It's a nice way to acknowledge the importance of his mum in his life.

I know where your coming from and I agree Wade is a classy player. I just think for us to have lured him to Concord would have cost us a squillion and there are plenty question marks hanging over his header fitness. Personally I like the idea of targeting guys like Matterson, good classy footballers with plenty of upside still to come. Okay you need the classyold heads in your roster, but we have a over supply at present

Fair call - he would have been top dollar. I would like us to have a current rep player or two in our roster though.

Why?
We are struggling to win close games with a full roster available, last thing we need is rep players missing during SOO and Intl games - we need all hand on deck to take full advantage when other side are weakened due to rep commitments.

I'm opinionated and passionate when it comes to sport, especially NRL.

I won't be taking any advice any time soon but I bet if I followed you around and commented on every single post you made with some argumentative nonsense you'd speak up too after a while to.
