Anyone would like these older experienced front rowers in there team if the Bulldogs are going to partially pay their wages. But I wouldn't go out offering big money if we get Parker. Let the Bulldogs feel the burn of being over the cap first and see what Moneyball Cleary can do to bolster our squad.

i think Newcastle might end up benefiting more form this

Whilst we can hold off filling some roles we cant afford players to got off the market.
I think we will be first to blink allowing knights to pick up the scraps

I'm very curious to see how this will pan out. Even with Reynolds leaving and the players they have off contract, I think they'll have to shed some forwards. Graham seems to be the man touted to go, but mayhap he doesn't want to go to Newcastle. Plenty of other clubs would be interested, but how many would be willing to pay full freight?

Interesting times.

Don't even know if he's off contract but I'd love to nab V. Holmes from under Sharks noses…

Val would be good but he only signed a big long contract last year. I think it was 850k a season for four years. Still he has said he wants to play fullback.

Looks like Melbourne Rebels will get the chop from the aru. Wouldnt mind Koroibete back…

From Fox sports. Ottio would be a good pickup.

THE FORGOTTEN TIGER FUNDS
\
\
The Wests Tigers have been unabashed in their pursuit of new players to add quality to their side.

Even after signing Ben Matulino and Josh Reynolds to handsome deals, the Tigers have what seems to be an endless supply of cash.

Why is that?

Robbie Farah. While the hooker isn’t at the club, he’s burning a hole in their salary cap this season.

A $700,000 hole, in fact. That payment expires in November, which means Ivan Cleary has plenty more cash to splash on marquee recruits.

Meanwhile, Corey Thompson has accepted a one-year-deal with the Tigers starting next season after being granted a release from Widnes.

Fellow Super League back, Mahe Fonua, has requested a release from his contract with Hull FC to return to Australia.

The 24-year-old and his partner are expecting their first child and wish to return to Australia to be closer to their families.

The Tigers have offered Fonua a two-year-deal and are also keeping a close watch of Raiders winger Kato Ottio’s movements.

I haven't seen Kato Ottio play. What are people's thoughts? Any good?

I'd be more excited about Ottio signing than Corey Thompson or Mahe Fonua. Both of those guys are solid enough options but Ottio is an unknown quantity who could go really well in first grade if given a shot. He's huge for a winger and really fast. I think he probably would have got a look in for first grade for the Raiders at the start of this season if he hadn't done his ACL. If we are going to make a play for him we'll have to move soon because the Raiders will look to lock him up once they're sure he's not lost any pace or confidence from the injury.

Ottio has speed…behind a few at the Raiders and now they have signed another Fiji 7's player Dakuwaqa..what a name..

Would take Ottio for sure if the injury is behind him...We seem to specialise in taking players on who have done ACL's ..that hasn't worked our too well of late..lucks due to change...
