Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

I trust ur opinion do you think fermor is a good addition ? I worry abt titans players they just don’t put the effort in to defend and a lot of inconsistency
I reckon he would be. Fermor would bring a lot of qualities we lack. If he does want out, not sure many other clubs need a left backrower so surely we'd be a chance. And the likes of Souths have cap constraints.

The coach is the last piece of the puzzle in my opinion. We have sacked so many coaches and kept playing with mediocre sides expecting better results.

The coach needs the players first and foremost. Any team in the top 4 aren't trotting out sides like we've had in the past.

Our recruitment has been pretty good and Benji will either have them winning or he'll be replaced. At least we will have a team capable of winning games off the bat instead of having to wait 3 years for the new coach to rebuild the squad which is going to be infinitely harder with a 19 team competition.
Not that I want Benji to go, however we also have more chance of getting a top notch replacement if we have a roster where most of the heavy lifting is already done. My personal view is keep Benji and get better/more assistants.

Today from Jarome Luai: "I'm staying, don't worry - for life. I think when things get hard, people are sort of expecting you to change and I'm not that type of guy. I'm here for the long run and I'm here to change this club around."

Api's comments after resigning this has been held back for a rainy day imo, dunno if that means the clauses are gone but Api urging him to remove them seemed odd at the time if it was much to do about nothing.

I would say the clauses are still in there, its not as simple as just removing them, I would guess a new contract would need to be drawn up and perhaps it may have some new terms that were negotiated as part of the removal of the clauses...he is saying he wants to be a Tiger for life....maybe an additional year or two, or more robust performance incentives as the challenge is greater than he may have originally anticipated etc...

Balmain Boy at it again. You got NFI son! Stop stealing our oxygen. If you watched the game the edge forwards held them self well against Penrith the first half. You’re talking about a 4 time NRL grand final team who could not bust our line for 30min. Had Latu not shot out, no way they would have scored. I would have been embarrassed if I was a Penrith player and could not get through a rookie 21 year old edge forward for that long.

But since you hate Sukkar, Twal and Doueihi, it’s quite obvious where your minds at. BUT like the coward you are, you will never run it Str8.

Please change your name to keyboard warrior!
I certainly wish that Penrith could not bust our line for 30 minutes in the first half that you refer to, as going into half-time 6-2 would have been a lot better than the 18-2 that it was.

As for our edge forwards, they did very little to help our go forward, which meant us basically always kicking from well inside our own half. The team needed a lot more metres from them.

I think there would be a few clubs that would take him. I still think Parra will go hard despite public denial. Clubs like Penrith and Souths, while they don't have the cap space now, could easily tap a player or two on the shoulder and make the room. It could be as simple as Dodd moving back to Super League or sending Papali'i on his way for Penrith.

The lack of funding that HBG provides the club makes us a much less attray option than most clubs.
Going to a club run on a shoestring bare minimum budget or a cashed up club investing in it's people. It's why we lose out so often to other clubs.
We are seen as the poorest club in the comp, which we are. HBG need to double or triple their financial contributions or sell the club to someone who will actually invest in the club.
Seriously pal, I’m not interested in your crap. Try it on someone who cares what you think if you can find someone.
