Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Sack thy coach win thy next game. But actually when I was a stat and mental nut I read a paper on how this affects the mind set and that it quite often is the second game they win.
I have been backing teams that sack their coach for a while now, it’s a 50/50 thing.
But statistically the safest bet in rugby league is to back against the Tigers when they are favourites.
My pop was always adamant that the tigers would never win when they scored first... Any way of checking that statistic?

The Taylan and Naden comparison, along with the respective vitriol and/or praise dished out to them is notable, particularly when you add May giving up on the play when they scored after he lost the ball in the tackle.

He may not have been able to stop it, though dropping his head certainly did not help, yet most simply forgive him whilst attacking the other.
This.

Everyone loves the new guy and hate the old guys at the club around here.

Taylan has been a great acquisition, but that was a very bad moment and he didn’t even turn and chase after the mistake. Now imagine if that was To’a or Doueihi.

Have a feeling we’re eyeing a big name, we have the cap space and have an obvious need for a middle.

Seems very quiet, a little too quiet…

I reckon Richo and Benji are working in the shadows for a big name to come with KPP next year or potentially in 2027.

Question is who….

Hola for an Ola

There’s not, that’s why a n up and comer such as this fella is probably as good as we could get in regards to a middle forward for 2026.
Lack of supply and demand means he will highly likely cost more than what he is probably worth at this stage and that’s the tricky part, do you pay what appears to be an over inflated price for an up and comer ?
There is no perfect answer, but adding one more good quality middle would at least provide genuine competition for positions and would hopefully bring out the best in some of our current forwards who have been inconsistent.

He would be fine for us … He has played 70 NRL games … he is better than a NSW cup guy that you don’t really know can handle the top grade or not…which you have suggested the club signing plenty of those

If you are holding out for a Tino you might he waiting a while

No he didn’t. He took it to Des.

If you can’t stand the heat get out of the kitchen - or get fired like Des.

Just watched it, I'm with you on this topic. I don't see that as bad journalism at all. It's not a facetious question. It's not a wind up. It's not even on the richter scale of some of the garbage Benji has had to contend with all season. Des just looked fed up and finished, checked out, and couldn't even be bothered stonewalling a Journo without much effort.

Chatter about guys like Moale and Mooney is definitely encouraging and I think we could land these types with relative ease if we pulled the trigger.
Although i really think some of you are on the right track with a big name in mind for Richo and Benji to give season ‘26 a real shake.
Our roster management has been calculated and deliberate so far and I think we’ve done it in an attempt to free up enough cap to have a real crack.
A Leniu or NAS type would be my pick as a pack leader and maybe a Ray Stone enforcer journeyman type to round us out as lock cover

It would be great if there was some chatter about it from someone in the know… most of us here are going to be all over any NRL experienced prop that becomes available

I’d rather we get the guy who’s the next big name.

That’s how teams get to the top 4.

Watch the video, cops a forehead to the face, ball raked out, than punched towards deaden by cows player, all while cows player holds back of Taylans jersey. I don't blame taylan for that try.
