I was reading another forum and there is a rumour the Luillai (sorry for spelling) kit and luke may be off the dragons.

I would say kit is way down the pecking order for props

Just opens more spots to bring in better talent, let’s face it they have not really set the world on fire

Yes but forwards in particular sometimes take a while to toughen up physically and mentally, realise how big and strong they are and use it to their advantage.
Forwards do not generally reach anywhere near their ceiling until age 23-25.
Some like Payne Haas are genetic freaks who rise to the top much earlier, but they are few and far between.
Terrell May for example wasn’t even on any NRL clubs radar until he was 23-24.

Don't see a FG future for Kit, maybe way down the road after a long journeyman career. Luke still needs 2 years of development learning to catch balls and defend, but he will only be 21 at that time and will be a decent player.

I couldn’t believe how big he was yesterday when I saw him. He is taller than you think as well. I didn’t recognise him at first because of his actual size compared to what size I thought he was.

2026 will be a very important season for them both to rise to another level and show if they are closer to becoming regular NRL players or not.
Lack of size and not having a noticeable step or footwork goes against them both, but they both appear to be working extremely hard over the off season and making the effort to become the best versions of themselves, so that has to be applauded and I hope both of them being local juniors make huge strides forward in 2026.

I think 1 thing we forget is Kit as a prop could still play Flegg next season - props develop later so for him to be playing a full season of nsw cup this year with another year of Flegg still to come means he is doing great.

He pretty well disappeared for a few years a while back and returned with renewed vigour on his constant posting crusade. Having never put anyone on ignore, it certainly has been much less clogged without him.

That said, I too hope that he is okay.

He was in our Jersey Flegg set up prior to COVID, but never on the NRL radar until impressing for a couple of seasons while playing NSW Cup for the Roosters.

Don’t forget how young they both still are.
Yes it would have been nice to see them both make much bigger strides throughout the 2025 season, but it’s very hard to know how much improvement young players will have from one season to the next.
Lack of size and lack of a noticeable step or footwork is a concern, but when at their best they both run the ball fearlessly.
I’m no writing them off as I know they are both working extremely hard off the field to help them improve , but they both definitely need a big start to the 2026 season to put themselves in the picture for NRL selection.

Barely any props are playing regular first grade at 20. Most players havnt even made their debut by 19, and Luke only just turned 19.

Any judgement on these two, especially Luke is crazy at this point. Debuting these guys early is the worst thing for our players at this point because our fans expect them to be stars almost instantly, when other guys their age havnt even debuted. For example, Luke was the only player in the u19 SOO who had played an NRL game.

We need to give these guys time instead of jumping to conclusions.

I’m very keen to see how he progresses next season. I think he will make it and be disappointed to see him leave given he’s been in the junior pathways for sometime. He’s a spring chicken by NRL standards

Yes, good perspective. Kit turns 21 around trial match time next year and has played in what, 3 NRL games and sat wasted on the bench by Benji for 80 in the loss against Penrith. One each at 18, 19 and 20, with WT winning 2 of them.

His last appearance against the chooks wasn't great, especially his first touch, but he ran like a bull and sadly failed at trying to give the next runner space with a really quick play the ball, which we shouldn't really fault too much.
