Yeah right that’s fair.......
We need the NFL 'guaranteed money' style contracts.
I.e. Packer 4 years for 3 million...........but only 1 million of it guaranteed. I.e. a player can be cut at any time, but the club must pay them out an agreed amount.

They do, but they also have a Draft and Free Agency, which i cannot see the NRL ever implementing.
Basically an NFL player under contract could wake up one morning and be told he's being traded from Arizona to Buffalo that day, and he doesn't have a say in any of it. Pack up the wife and kids and off you go ...
That's harsh on the player, but it also means that struggling teams are given a leg up through the Draft/Waivers and struggling teams can take their pick of the best talent on offer.
No system is perfect, but the NRL system has turned into a shambles it seems.
