Zane Tetevano (the unlucky player dropped from the GF to make way for Friend) is up for grabs, won’t be at the Roosters next season from what I hear. Wouldn’t it be great if we could actually get a player like this instead of having to rely on fringe first graders all the time.

JWH a possibility of going also, though most likely Penrith bound - they always seem to pick up the best forwards then still somehow play like crap!

Under no circumstances should the club even entertain signing grubs like this guy.

JWH, probably too late and pricey at this stage.

FWIW
Mawene Hiroti and Billy Brittain to leave Souths and sign with Wests Tigers.

That is from aSouths poster on another forum.

These will be the type of signings coming the clubs way till decent money is freed up. Players with good attitude & ability but pathway blocked due to current 1st grade players.

Thanks Pom. Is there confidence that some money will be able to be freed up?

Hiroti is not a bad winger and can kick goals

That's great news, thanks.

May 2015: Tetevano's lawyer tells a judge Tetevano has no intentions of returning to the ‘‘toxic environment’’ of the NRL as he pleads for leniency after being convicted of repeated spousal abuse.
October 2016: Tetevano signs with the Roosters.

It actually makes me physically sick. F- this guy, f- the Roosters and f- the NRL. Hypocritical scumbags, all of them.

MAY 28 2015
Former Knight Zane Tetevano jailed for bashing former girlfriend

Mr Cheetham detailed the different occasions when Tetevano had punched, kicked, slapped and thrown his former girlfriend during drunken bouts of rage.Tetevano had also smashed property and intimidated his former partner over several months forcing her to lock herself in rooms away from the former front-rower.

Newcastle Local Court heard that Tetevano had no intention of resuming his rugby league career and was now working 60 hours a week and planning to start a family with his new girlfriend.

Hiroti played 19 games scoring 17 tries 20 goals @ 73% is 21 in March 2020 probably wont sign him dosent meet our player criteria. He's young with potential

If we do sign him I hope he gets a decent run in first grade. Momirovski improved substantially once he found his feet in first grade and got some confidence up.

@THE_POM any word on the likely replacement for Matterson?

Tuaikeaho has received permission to explore options (looking for a 3 year deal as he is 29 & still has a year to go on contract, he is looking at a deal to set him up for the future & believes he will get a better deal this year rather than next)

@iofthetigers I'd take him. He's a solid forward, can kick goals, but not sure about his injuries. Like anything for the right price.

@iofthetigers 29??? Jesus, I thought he was still young, like mid 20s.

Just checked wiki says 27, that makes a big difference. at 27 I'm in, at 29, not so much

That would mean he’s 29 then. Rorters struggle with number accuracy

True, they likely knock a couple of years off them when they want to move them on. They probably told us Braith was 27 when they shipped him our way

Reading on Facebook (yeah I know) that Reynolds is off to Titans.
Mixed thoughts to be honest
If true we are likely losing Reynolds, Matterson and Marsters. I reckon we need more than bit players with potential to get us back to 2019 standard let alone trying to advance our squad.
Also, I thought interchanging Reynolds and Marshall between 6 and 9 gave our attack potency and fluency. Not sure this shouldn’t be the 2020 plan.
Hoping to see some experienced first graders sign soon if I’m going to be confident we are moving forward as opposed to replacing like with like.
