Unpopular opinion; but I would make enquiries to see if Israel Folau would come back to league to play at fullback for WT at a cool 1 mill. Edit: potential can of worms here.

Spoke to the NRL today - they are standing by their decision not to allow Israel Folau to play in the NRL

Whatever someone thinks of Israel Folau is irrelevant at this stage. There is a good case that if he flags a return to the NRL and they refuse him to negotiate/register a contract, it's been suggested that he will take his free speech crusade to court again - NRL don't want that after RA folded their cards & conceded in the mediation case.

Isnt he 30 or more now? Too old now to come back successfully to NRL.

Yeah he's 30, but he has a few years left, even on the wing à la Lote Tuqiri. He's evergreen too, like SBW who will turn 35 during the superleague season. I'd give Izzy 2 years/1m

Would be interesting if Wests Tigers approached Folau but the NRL rejected him. He has a great chance of putting Greenburg on his backside just like he did with Raelene.

Maybe we should make a play for the kid at the Storm,
Nicho Hynes.. won't be getting many games with Papz extended now.

The kid can go
Not 100% But I think he is from up central coast way.maybe the idea of living closer to family might help get him over the line

What perception would that be?

For whatever reason, it appears WT are not overly high on the list of potential destinations for top line players. I believe this to be the case because we don't seem to ever sign any. I like Leilua and I think he'll be a good signing, but if that is our offseason big name signing, we're in a bit of trouble. That's not me being negative either, i'm even ok with signing Moylan. We just need to do something.

It's not for 'whatever' reason - it's because we haven't had any money to spend. The one year we did, we signed plenty of high-profile free agents. They were just rubbish.

This is going back to 2012 though. We've had money to spend since then. We also have $1.5m now.

We also had those massive drawcards Mick Potter & Jason Taylor since then.

Is Maguire any better a drawcard, I'm not convinced

What is this rubbish about Clubs offering players positions...no one should be promised a spot..gawd

@Geo especially players transitioning to new positions and untested.

Just gives them another reason to walk out on their contracts when they play poorly in their preferred position and can't lock it down.

It's frustrating not knowing what Madge what new player Madge is looking at but Hynes seems a real prospect at fullback.

Lots of chat on different threads regarding offloading Reynolds. Personally I think we’re going to need him this season. We have an aging 6 and no definite 9. He will definitely be needed in 2020 imo.

At 6 sure but he's not a great hooker. His service from dummy half has always been poor. I'd have no issues if he were to move on tbh

What a CO 'excellent' thought @Pyjamaztehboss

Well here we are 1 week into December and we have signed 1, 1st grade player, and that just covers the grub that walked out on us. for as long as I can remember we have never had a sack full of cap to spend, yet u would think that we are still in the dark ages of years gone by. it appears lomax has resigned at the dragons for just $300,000 per season , gee we could have top that u would have thought. not much left on the shelf , and to be honest I don't want LM at the club, bloke seems to have a screw lose or his management team does. cant see where we are going to snare a dominant front rower from, or a class back before the start of the season.
