Bing was my favourite as a kid, had the 8 on my old hand me down jersey. He was all enthusiasm, remember the way he'd run out of the tunnel at Leichhardt a hundred miles an hour while the others mostly jogged out to the centre. Pretty much summed him up, a true Tiger great

Well it's not the same, Farah wasn't injured and we made the mistake of promising him a gig before the NRL ratified it.

BUT I would expect 2019 sets a precedent for how low the bar is for medical retirement and the ability to set up players with soft jobs if they retire.

I personally have no issue with that if it's applied consistently from now on. I don't even think it should matter if the injury was pre-existing, if they player is ok to retire. Why should it matter if a player gets sufficiently hurt on this or previous contract?
