Won’t be as cheap as our development players

e have taken a punt on Abbey from Canberra- at least to the level of train and trial. I know he has been injured with knee problems but what was his position and how did he go playing when on the field? As a potential player, how good could he be when / if recovered from injuries?

On the Teams Page of the Westgstigers Website Kane Bradley is listed in the Forwards as a Second Rower not Winger.

Thanks guys for the Abbey info and highlights. Could be, if he shows he has recovered and is fit in the pre-season, he can be the fullback for 2020 season and Thompson back to wing. He certainly shows so promise with both support plays and finishing off moves (at least as far as highlights goes). Who knows- maybe he is the WTF signing if he gets through training and trials?

Still remain doubtful as to our hooker strategy for 2020.

He won't be playing for WT until mid season at best. 2 ACLs, he needs to get his body right and get some form and fitness on the board first. Might be ready to play for the magpies in March based on reports

Thanks, Well, if we're making do with hooker till mid season why not also fullback if Mitchell does not come. Thompson is a capable fill in fullback until whoever they get for fullback arrives.

No creative play, no passing game also taking bombs, the modern fullback need these traits, I am a Thompson fan, but we need better at 1.

Different meaning. Chin up vs being a powerhouse.

The club officials are on a hiding to nothing any way they go. If they are quiet, people complain they don't inform members and fans sufficiently. If they host a live Q&A, people sneer that the line will drop out and they'll have nothing good to say anyway. As if every skype conversation with your relatives overseas doesn't drop out and as if telecom powerhouses like Optus offer flawless service when streaming live events.

Who really gives a toss whether or not Pascoe blows your mind or repeats old stories in the Q&A? Filling supporters with confidence or otherwise has nothing to do with the on-field performances or the reality of the club behind closed doors.

And specific to Jonesy, he's a much of a worrywart negative nellie as I've seen on here recently. It's the offseason but some folks can't relax.
