Most callers on 2SM are already six schooners deep by this point. I used to listen to Talkin' Bulldogs for a laugh but it's beyond that now.

Absolutely shocking show - gave up on them ages ago. I can't stand listening to know all Tunks - he waffles on as though he is in the know and he hasn't got a clue.

Tunks is a spanner. The golf day where Blocker and Tunks were both speakers, Blocker told funny stories and got laughs, Tunks bitched about how much money players make now and how soft they are.

Who remembers when Blocker played his first reserve grade game at Leichhardt? Tunks played for Souths and the first scrum that went down Tunks tried to put it on Blocker who stood and belted Tunks. After they were both sent off the Ground Announcer asks if Mr Roach could come to the dressing room (to cool Blocker down).

The best part of that for me was when they both going up the tunnel after being sent off i was sitting at halfway opposite the grandstand Blocker was still fuming and wanted to hammer him.Tunks literally couldnt get to the safety of the dressing room quick enough.
Some memories live with you forever

I have correspondence with Pascoe directly relating to douehi and he said directly that douehi is of interest but didn’t like the chances Souths release him

Doueihi was signed from reserves to Souths wasn't he? How on Earth is he on a massively backended deal? I don't remember there being multiple clubs vying for his signature.

Like every season, there will be plenty of players breaking contracts and moving clubs in 2020 so there will be several opportunities to buy what we need.

Or lose someone.

Lighten up man.

Signed from Balmain SG Ball team which included Douehi, Suli, Papenhuyzen and Seyfarth. Shamefully, we kept one of 3. We all know what happened to Suli.

Had a dream last night. Setting was a warm & sunny September arvo on the hill at leichhardt oval. A Tigers win would clinch the minor premiership over the fading parra slimey's who only 24hrs prior suffered a humiliating defeat at the hands of last placed souffs to make it their 7th loss on the trot..

Thanks to a 5th tackle try saver from this years runaway Dally M favourite L.Brooks the Tigers regain possession on their own 10 and are up by 2 with a couple minutes to go. The Storm, who have just failed to score on 3 consecutive sets camped on the Tigers goal line are showing clear signs of disharmony, lead by their captain C.Smith who is overheard muttering "If only we had some pace out wide"...

It's tackle 3 and with 1:25 left on the clock the Tigers standout fullback N.Cotric spots a couple lazy defenders with their backs turned on the short side. He skips out of dummy half, evades the offside storm markers(all game ref), then proceeds to deliver a Benji esque inside flick pass to a flying Fox after drawing the now bewildered centre/wing combo of the storm towards the sideline.
The Fox puts it down under the black dot for his 40th meat pie this season, pumps the emblem on his chest and runs over to the northern end faithful to do his now trademark Leichhardt Leap

I had a dream mid-2005 that the Tigers would win the grand final. Admittedly, they played it a Cudgen Oval.

Adam Doueihi is weighing up his immediate future after South Sydney coach Wayne Bennett told him he is free to chase a starting fullback position elsewhere after making it clear Latrell Mitchell will get first crack at the club's No.1 jersey.

Bennett admires Doueihi and is happy for him to see out the remaining two years of his deal, but also informed him on Wednesday he would not block any early release from Redfern.

Only two days earlier Bennett said he faced some "hard decisions" about how to squeeze the likes of Doueuhi into a back line that now features Mitchell, Campbell Graham, Braidon Burns, Dane Gagai and James Roberts.

Doueihi was given his NRL debut by Wests Tigers coach Michael Maguire and is a Balmain junior. The Tigers also need a starting fullback and have well north of $600,000 still in their salary cap for this season, but have so far baulked at Doueihi's price tag, given his current deal is heavily back-ended.

The Herald understands Doueihi stands to collect about $500,000 this year and even more in 2021. Souths do not have to move on any players to be salary cap compliant and it remains to be seen if they will pick up any of Doueihi's tab should he leave.

Tigers boss Justin Pascoe told the Herald on Tuesday: "Having cap space at this time of year allows us the opportunity to be strategic and leverage off other clubs who might have challenges with their ca space."

Bennett took one look at Mitchell train on Tuesday and was clearly convinced his star recruit would more than make the successful transition to fullback in just eight weeks.

Doueihi was initially told by Bennett he would be playing five-eighth, only for Cody Walker to sign a two-year extension in December. He was then informed by the supercoach he would be the starting fullback, only for Souths to the sign Mitchell.

"Some of the boys here have played some great football for us, but the end result is we couldn't walk past the opportunity to take Latrell," Bennett said on Monday. "This club is about success. We want to have the best team we possibly can here and we believe he [Mitchell] is going to add to what we already have."

Doueihi's best hope is securing a utility role off the bench, which he could easily do given his ability to play anywhere in the back line. A tall playmaker who impressed at fullback towards the end of last season, Doueihi would even start a few games during the Origin period with Dane Gagai a Queensland regular and Cody Walker and Mitchell a chance to earn a NSW Blues recall.

Such is the depth in the outside backs at Souths that it was easy to forget Bryson Goodwin had also returned to the club on a one-year deal.

Before he made his NRL debut under Maguire at Souths in 2018, Doueihi spoke glowingly about the coach and said: "Madge was pretty keen on me and he was probably the main reason why I did come here."

The Tigers have three spots to fill on their roster, including two before the start of the season. They remain hopeful Parramatta will release teen prop Stefano Utoikamanu, who they have already signed from 2021.

Souths continue to hold out hope they can land their own front-rower, Jai Arrow, a year early from the Gold Coast. Should they land Arrow, the foundation club will be among the favourits to take the NRL title.

The Titans are open to granting Arrow an early release, but only if it is worth their while.

It seems like a lot but I think he’s probably worth it. I thought in the latter part of the season he was Souths best back.

Can’t take him on 500k Souths would have to comp half that on both years remaining. Unproven at various positions that’s a ridiculous cap number. If Souths are doing dumb things like that I really don’t see how they can be cap compliant.

I have no idea why a coach would be messaging someone someone in analytics the players they were most interested in. Why would they need to? Surely the club would get access to ALL the stats if they're paying these people. I especially don't know why if they had a clue one of the people they pay blabs all over the internet like a drunken gossip girl.
