But we all know officially we couldn’t have spoken to Stefano before 1st Nov, and given that he reportedly signed at the end of November, there’s no facts to indicate that we spoke to him before we released Matto.

And Parra were not allowed to talk to Matterson before November 1 2020, yet he was gone before November 1 2019, please

Wests Tigers have become the weak sitting ducks for some NRL clubs.

Yeah wondering who next seasons player of the year will be so they can get picked off as well

Brooks was player of the year .
Matterson was the forums player of the year ?

Geo's Player of the Year (8th time running)

I keep reading that we need some speed in the backs, we have (arguably) the second fastest man in the NRL already.
OFFICIAL SPEED TRACKER

1. Josh Addo-Carr 38.5 km/h
2. David Nofoaluma 36.7 km/h
3. Latrell Mitchell 36.6 km/h
4. Matt Dufty 36.5 km/h
5. Suliasi Vunivalu 36.1 km/h
6. Tautau Moga 36.0 km/h
7. Ryan Papenhuyzen 35.8 km/h
8. James Tedesco 35.7 km/h
9. Jack Wighton 35.6 km/h
10. Bailey Simonsson 35.5 km/h
11. Kayln Ponga 35.5 km/h
12. Blake Ferguson 35.5 km/h
13. Victor Radley 35.3 km/h
14. Edrick Lee 35.3 km/h
15. Te Maire Martin 35.3 km/h
16. James Roberts 35.2 km/h

Taken from the Daily Telegraph article last year. Shirvo also commented that Nofoaluma controlled his speed better than anyone else on the list and with some specific training had the potential to top the list. Sure, he has a few defensive issues at times but is that his fault or the team structure? Not too long ago most of us were saying that Ado-carr wasn't fit for first grade because he had nothing to his game but speed. What changed when he got to the storm? The defensive structures managed to cover his weaknesses and let him shine. David does a lot of kick returns and dirty hit ups that would severely hinder his speed when the opportunities come but still has managed some massive run downs over the last couple of seasons. I think he is massively underrated. And he has ten times the heart of Mitchell, we dodged a bullet.
Just my two cents.

it's the top speed hit by a player in the season...1 off's...In Nofoaluma's case it was achieved when he ran down Jack Wighton from behind ..

It was top speed. Which i completely understand isn't always maintainable but the comment about his control backs that he can do it at will.

Sit them out. Don’t give them up for nothing. The money you spent on them sitting you could get back in a transfer fee or player compensation. Tigers could of signed LL without giving up matterson at the time

There are transfer fees in the NRL now..when did this happen...?

Call it what you want.

40 yrd stop speed. Nofa has really good running form but can't maintain it over longer distances, he packs a lot of muscle and is more of an explosive sprinter, his data charts would be up, down, up, up spikes & rests

I'm surprised by that. I believe that a couple of our younger players have been tracked near the top of these times just very recently at training. I suppose as they get older & bigger they will lose a bit of speed which would explain it.

A salary cap year commenced on 1 November. Releasing Matto before 1 November means none of his salary counts to the 2020 salary cap. His 2020 contract - on reports - was 400-450k. Reports indicate Parra matched that - which means that this eats into their 2020 salary cap. All the rest is imponderable speculation and uncertainty of “what ifs”. Eg - what if we didn’t release Matto until Feb 2020, And Parra then offered SU more Money and he stayed with them. What if SU rejected Parra and and we released Matto on 1 Feb 2020, then, Parra would be paying 1/3rd less for Matto this year and we get no value for the salary we paid Matto to that date and no certainty they would release SU in any event. I’m not supporting the decision but pointing out that the decision made was one within the range of reasonable decisions available to the Club and I don’t fault them for doing so

Another good objective post.

I'm not saying he is the best winger in the comp, far from it, and he has his weaknesses but i think he is better than most WTF'rs give him credit for. BY all accounts he is looking rippped and ready to go this ear.

The only team Slimey tanked for was Wests Tigers because he was so easily allowed to.

I think cleary got a free pass for this situation . I thought it all came about because cleary said he could go and then a week later after the supposed last game he changed mind and said he wouldn’t let him go .

Wingers should be able to finish over 100metres and that is the issue with Nofoaluma.

He was put over the sideline by Fifita in a game against Cronulla at their home ground. It was embarrassing because he had a clearn 65m run to the try line which was open.

Guys, I think that Doueihi may always have been going to Easts.

There was a poster either here or LU, I cant remember note that they had bumped into Doueihi at Fox Entertainment Quarter a week or so ago. What would Doueihi have been doing at EQ? Roosters head office is at EQ.

That was me. He was dressed very casually. I highly doubt he was heading to a meeting with Roosters officials. More likely going to lunch or a movie.

Thanks for the feedback Survivor. I was in there for work yesterday and was wondering why he would have been there, then I parked in front of Roosters HQ, put 2+2 together and came up with a pineapple.
