Yes I was waiting for someone to say that. Do you by chance happen to know the average salary of the players who have played for five years? Not the cap divided by the number of players, but the average salary of a player who has played for five years?
Look at it like this, of the players now who debuted five years ago, what's their average salary over their career?
Because I bet it would be north of $300k, which is plenty more than 3 times the average wage and the same as what I said.
