Maybe a Alex Johnston, Garrick, Saab, JAC, Vunivalu, Korobite, Momo or lower graders Hoffman Bradley
Use the money from Jennings and Nofo for other area like Burton as a 6 or a De Belin forward or something or save it to upgrade Grant

On the topic of our young forward pack. Does anyone know if Christian Welsh is being locked at as a possible replacement for Packer or ET?

Personally I think he would be a smart acquisition and seems to of recovered well from his knee injury.

Good player.

Frank Molo from the Cowboys is a very under rated prop he’s tough as nails. Fits Madgeball better.

Corey Harawira Naera is another that would make a big impact for us on an edge. If let back in.

Jack De Belin if innocent would also be a strong player to add to the team.

Molo plays well, CHN and JDB are different roles.
My thoughts with welsh was that he really could be that elder statesmen for us, that just hits it up makes the hard meters and does the clean up work. Kick pressure etc, all those things he does for the storm. And he would be a starter in our side each week. Molo in my opinion would be offering a similar impact to JA or TM which we kind of don’t need more of however if Packer was to finish up a year early Molo would be a good replacement for him. Welsh would replace Clark in my reasoning.

I’d take him but Twal is developing into that works horse for us.

Do you like Twal at Lock or would he be a prop again in your team if we were successful in signing an more ball playing prop/lock I.e Arrow?

I like him at lock allows more venom in attack and defence for our props as he makes a mountain of tackles .

I think moving forward we need a better lock, not that Twal isn't a good player, he doesn't have the skill set for a lock, great up front though. Souths have made a huge mistake signing Arrow, they have Murray, both are locks, both on big coin now Murray got upgraded

Yep agree - good locks these days need to be able to offload and have a good passing game. Twal has neither. He is really just a third FR in the run on side. Not knocking the guy as he has to be in the run on side every game and really holds the middle together defensively. He runs hard and can play the 80 minutes and if this is all we want in a lock then he is fine however I can't see him ever having a great passing game but learning to offload would be a great start.

Well that’s why ge got dropped. His defence was always his weak point.

I wouldn’t be replacing Nofo unless we had too.
We have bigger issues and he adds alot of value to the team, more than most do currently.

That’s what I think too... Brooks and Mbye are looking after Luciano in defence. Lucianos attack will always be good, Garner and Reynolds are slowly combining in attack as well.

Two edged sword as per the Raiders' game. Direct all the runners at Brooks to tire him out for offensive ops. Lawrence really shared the load with Brooks. Many knock him but you cannot deny his team spirit and effort.

It’s funny a few years ago they were defending him one in on the right edge to protect him from heavy traffic and he was having all sorts of grief when teams got early ball to a quick centre. Than Madge put him back On the edge and he is the best half defender in the game. That’s why I think he could handle no9 without any problems

It's not so much the bagging of Nofa, But it's the constant bagging of Nofa from the same person... Move on (especially when he is in red hot form!)

It's not so much the bagging of Nofa, But it's the constant bagging of Nofa from the same person... Move on (especially when he is in red hot form!)

I've been critical of him at times, but without a doubt he's our best winger at the club atm. Definitely need to get some stability on the other wing as a priority, but who knows, maybe Talau can make that his own. I get it that he is a centre, but getting some First Grade experience on the wing for a few years can only be a good thing for him.

Without a doubt he is the No.1 Winger in the Comp at the moment! His runs have been phenomenal and his passing game amazing! Name me one winger who can pass right to left? For Garner's try and to set up Mbye for Brooks try? He scores or sets up more than he has let in this season!
