Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

i would take morgan boyle in a heartbeat after his performance against the panthers, 40 tackles, 10 runs for 108m and just needs to add on some more size to his frame. he has some good leg drive aswell.

I agree with you Ivan, get him on the bus.

We still need another half for next year, a couple of prop/second rowers, another utility back and most likely a hooker.

We need a strike centre with pace and at least one very fast winger but realistically two with the continual defensive issues Nofoaluma exhibits. I hope we get Boyle as he appears to be one for the now and the future. Vete also would be most welcome.

Just read that Souths have Adam Doueihi who is a half from the Balmain juniors. I thought he was a very good prospect, standing at around six feet one or two, with a great kicking game, pass, defence etc. I'm pretty disappointed because Souths' fans rate him.

According to Fox Sports Angus Crichton is unsigned for next year, would be a good pick up.

Yep. Vete/paasi and boyle would do me. Rona would be good due to his height. Im om with our backline atm..Just not our forwards.

Spot on. I like Boyle he would be a great signing if we can get him off the Titans. Vets/Paasi maybe Taga would be the best impact props left for the bench.
Rona would complete the backline and we would have great depth with Thompson, Fonua MWZ in reserves.

Rona is in the extended Wallabies team which is bad news for us.

That's only because they didn't add any Brumby players to the squad due to the fact that they were still in the Semi final until last night.
Otherwise the Wallabies will have a squad of 50 players.

We should make a play for Nick Cotric for the 2019 season. He is a gun and would kill it at FB.

We have a FB - his name is Lolohea.

Does Cotric want to play reserve grade?

Cotric wouldn't be playing reserve grade mate!

Cotric is a couple of classes above LoLo, unfortunately.
LoLo''s Not on the same planet.
There's no way the Raiders would let him go anyway,
They've got big plans for him

The top two priorities in terms of signing requirements are;
1\. Big, strong forwards that are able to bend the line and do their share of work in defense.
2\. FAST, elusive backs that can tackle.

We seem to be addressing the first priority pretty well with just one or two more forwards required to fill out our first grade roster. I would suggest two of Boyle, Vete and Paasi in that order of preference. However, the backs don't look so strong. There are questions marks in terms of form, fitness and experience over all the signings but, another real concern is the lack of top end speed across the squad. Tell me who the real speedsters are. Other than Brooks and, maybe, Lolo (if he sheds kilos) who else can run the length? I think the powers that be need to look at this, even if it means securing a few NYC players from other clubs.

I would be happy with a starting pack of Packer, Liddle, Matulino, McQueen, ET, Boyle. Reserves Vete, Aloai, Marsters, Paasi. We would then have good ISP cup depth in the forwards Eisenhuth, Sue, Twal, Felise, Lawrence.
That way players have to play well to keep their positions each week.

We have to be smarter and start recruiting the cream of talent from NSW Country. Cotric is not a Raiders' junior, he is from Cooma in downtown NSW. I
