im starting to like tim grant more and more, wouldnt mind him sticking around for another year.

Agree, we need another experienced prop to take up the slack when Packer/Matulino are out injured, and I don't see any better experienced options on the market. It sounds like we'd have to give him 2 years though.

the ceo/coach Q/A thing, one of them said grant as a year's option in his favour. if he wants to hardball and get the extra year, the tigers will call his bluff.

Still some good players on the market such as:
Tony Williams
Agnatius Paasi
Charlie Gubb
Patrick Kaufusi
Sam Tagataese
William Zillman
Brendan Elliot
Gerard Beale

William Zillman and good should not be used in the same sentence. Injuries ruined him and he's a state cup player at best these days.

Agnatius Paasi would be a decent pickup. Taga and Gubb would also be handy. I'd be putting some feelers out there for Gela-Mosbey, especially if we miss out on Rona. We lack pace in the backline. We need some big backrowers, Hoffman is still available and would be a good signing as a stop gap if he doesn't head back to the Storm. Not off contract yet but I'd throw some serious cash at Crichton as a long term player. Let him know we want him when the time comes, he's gunna be a rep player soon.

McQueen seems to be the biggest back tower we have and he isn't huge. With Lawrence and ET outside of that we lack an edge player who can cause problems.

There will be a fire sale hopefully for teams that have stretched the unknown cap too far, but out of the off contract players, no backrowers really attract me too much. Hold out I reckon. We don't want to pay big dollars for the best of a bad lot simply because we have the cap to do it. Player managers will milk us and we'll pay overs. Wait for the fire sale and pick up a bargain. It'll be like Christmas time.

I can't see any experienced fullbacks on the market.. Utility could mean anything these days.

Ah yes relax guys the Fire sale will be soon upon us…Boyd Cordner, Josh Jackson, Josh Papalii, Nathan Cleary, Latrell Mitchell and Cooper Cronk will be all beating down the door of Camp concord to sign with all the cash we have..

From Nathan Ryan of Foxsports in his market watch blog when asked who the tigers are looking at -
Hey mate they are looking at another forward and a utility player. They were chasing Morgan Boyle from the Titans but he will stay on the Gold Coast. I'll have some info on their next target in my Market Watch column on Wednesday. I also hear they are still enquiring about fullback's. If they don't sign an experienced one, Lolohea will get first crack.

I can see a plodder like William Zillman in our sights

Thanks Geo I just hope we have enough cap space to fit them all in.

Wishful thinking.

Really Enjoyed Grants hard runs last game, seemed like someone had words with him and told him he had to fire up and he did, wish the would have told Woods to run like that years ago

 Yes I was dreading the signing of Zillman some time ago, but as time has passed I thought good, we don't seem to be going down that road, but…. :unamused:

Playing for a contract, don't worry he'll go back to his ineffective best once he's signed on.

ARU likely to push out the force after arbitration next week. They have to formally announce 7th of August to Sanzar.Reportedly Rona has agreed to terms if WF are pushed out.

I was just kidding

If we get Rona our backline is complete and will keep blokes like Suli, Nofa on their toes. We would have Thompson, MWZ, Fonua vying for positions which is a great change from Kev, Rankkn, Hunt and Malone.
