Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

As long as Brooks is our 7 we'll do diddly squat.

Mark my words, nothing will change with this team until Brooks is gone, pitty it's going to take so long to realise it.

We are hamstrung for a year or two. It's changing.

Only if we don't blow it on the wrong players again.

I agree. I'm not pessimistic on the club at the moment mainly because we have been targeting the right players. We also haven't gotten really bad contracts on our book since Madge took over. I think the worst signing has been BJ and he can be let go next season.

Robert Jennings says hello.

Which is a lot better than the Cleary buys. He is gonski and he didn't cost as much as the Cleary purchases. So far the only players we've wanted to splash on are Grant, JAC and Latrell.

I think he's okay, we just need a better half beside him. Better than Brooks I mean. Brooks I think would make a good support half.

I for one am prepared to give Brooks another one to twelve years to prove he can lead

You can't blame Brooks for our performances since he came here. We've had Tedesco, JAC, Koro, Taupau, Benji, Robbie, Matterson, Grant etc and haven't done anything.

The real issue is we don't know if he is good enough or not because he hasn't been the key player in us making the finals with a good team around him.

Personally I think as a support half he is good enough. He isn't someone who will carry us though.

Just rewatched the game and Grant spent most of the last 15 minutes walking. Could've lost the game with the penalty he gave away which should've been a sin bin.
Most of his problem is that he doesn't manage his energy. He follows the ball like a school kid, confusing his fellow defenders and leaving holes.
This didn't come as a surprise as it's what he did for Wests.
More than happy to have Liddle instead of him

He had a chest injury. Give him a break. Great game and a great player.

Braydon Trindall is available. Just needs a coach to give him a decent chance.

Again, the guy, in 17 NRL games, has become 2nd best hooker in the game.

Curtis played at Manly didn’t he
Was a constant starter I wonder if this has anything to do with JA going there?

He's at Manly now. 2021 last year of his contract.

These are the days of our lives aren’t they?

I’d be all over Siro. Ironic considering I was his biggest critic when he played with us the first time round, but he’s grown as a player so much since leaving. He needed to go somewhere else, to establish his own name, which he did. Now he’s ready to come home.

Mmm? Contract year with his little brother in the team?
It’s make or break season.

Has there been any news on Burton?

Yes I think BJ will go well this year.

If that’s the swap it sounds fair to me.

Hope not. Gives 100% but is made of glass. Always injured

Too right. He couldn't become the player he has by staying here.

Agree. Actually balances out our team better.

However, I doubt there is anything to this given they are chasing Garner as a replacement for Joel Thompson so I wouldn't expect them to let go of another back rower.
