If this plays out and we get Joe O, Siro we have done extremely well..
Considering a few weeks ago we could not sign anyone and no one wanted to come to us..
If a Manly player doesn't want to come here we cannot make them so the club looking at Joe O as replacement is looking outside the box and Manly can compensate us some cash.. Its still a win for us and upgrade.. If we demand a player swap and it doesn't happen we end up paying JA 350k to sulk around the club and bring unwanted media attention and he takes a spot up in our 30... This is a win win to me and shows shows the club managed it well... We are really heading in the right direction.

Garner for Sirro is interesting. Garner is a better hole runner but is very weak defensievely but is on 250k. Sirro is a solid defender and solid attacker but is on 500k and had a history or injury, albeit not recently.

On face value we're getting an old but more solid player but on twice the price, and he'd want a 3 year deal at 500k. Will we be better off in 2-3 years time?

Depends on the player. Some like the comfort zone, don't like change.

Only two years older. Garner is 25. Think for our squad Sironen is a better fit, we’ve got too many guys who can score points but don’t do the defence and tough stuff. In 2-3 years Blore should be our man main hopefully
