From where i sit I hope he stays put, there will be some quality players hit the market at the end of the month, so its time for some patience. Of course I would take him in a flash, but I think he will stay and that would be a good out come

Not in mine - the guy is a dope, a disruption to teams, not well liked it would seem so…

basically IMO another Moses and Hayne type.

I don't know for sure that Moylan is like that but I don't want to have players in our team who are disloyal scabs. We've just been absolutely killed by 3 players like that and is Moylan worth taking on that risk.

I suppose on fair dollars he would be a good option but I assume some club will pay overs.

Gerald Beale is a good signing, but depends on how much.

Blair on 4 years is INSANE. Unless the Warriors are thinking that they can get Blair for 2 more years and have him retire from injury. But that is either a risky gamble or absolute space cadet thinking. Blair will suit Kearney's plan and the playing style he wants, but if Kearney leaves then NZ have a 500k+ pet rock playing for their team.

The battling clubs have to offer long deals to attract players. Likes us with McQueen,Reynolds and co, I bet the club would loved to have locked in two year deals with a 1 year option in the clubs favour, but to get the signatures they have to give them long deals. If you don't do it another club will.

Their cap manager stated that if you pay your average players big money they think that they are stars, and don't have to improve.
If you pay them basic salary they work their butts off to get a big contract.
That's why players like Watson was on a small salary, and they would have a lot more players on the same as Watson.
Don't forget the brown paper bags!

they werent that crap.. woods, moses and tedesco have probably been our best player for the last 2-3 years.

We do have 2 spots left on the bus but then it's also possible someone like JJ Felise might seek a release for more opportunities elsewhere, hence opening up another spot and freeing up a bit more money.

He's fallen down the pecking order and would be behind Matulino, Packer, Twal, Sue, Eisenhuth.

Yeah, we've got so many top quality players on board , that we don't need a player that has proved he can break a team open. Not the worlds No1 player. But certainly on another level to anyone we've bought so far.
I think it's all just wishful thinking though, I can't see Gus letting him get away,

Actually think we are in a great position for once. I agree that all of these players, with the exception of Marsters, are the ones we will be wanting to trade out of. We weren't able to perform a complete clean-out and roster upgrade in one go with the restraints of the salary cap, so we will spread it out over the 2 years and by 2019 with some further quality purchases we should have a pretty decent 30 man squad. I reckon Benji will end up in some football related roll at the Tigers after next year.
