At this stage, with new players and staff, anything could happen. But in the whole side the only one who is certain of his position is BROOKS.

You could add a few others to that list - Tamou, Lucy, Nofo...

Yeah , sorry mate, iwas thinking backline mostly,.Damn, how could i forget the Tigers own copy of JAC.

even if Laurie comes over this year he probably will not be ready for round 1 at fb anyway. Mmbye at fb is not that bad at least for the start of the year anyway

If Laurie comes over he might be used as the no6 in round one given AD will be serving his suspension

I think we should use Mbye a little different if he is with us for the remainder of his contract, and that is definitely not as a 14.

We are short in the fullback position so I think all of his training should be in that position so that he can develop a set skill set as a fullback and become a specialist instead of an all rounder. That may mean he starts the season in reserves to hone his craft but it’s a long season so no doubt with injuries etc he will be called upon.

I know having a player on his $$ in reserves is not ideal but if he purely focuses on fullback then it will go a long way to fulfilling a need for the team.

He won't be starting the season in reserves, he is our 1st choice fullback.

Wow, we're going back to 2018 to find a decent Mbye game. Says it all.

He had a couple last year. Again, he rarely stands out and ain’t worth his money but he can have some good games.

A couple of good games a year for 800k + is nowhere near good enough.

Brooks has more than that for 600k and gets crucified.

Not fair, Not fair.

Exactly....Brooks gets absolutely hammered from pillar to post and he has actually had quite a few memorable performances for us.

Unfortunately I don’t think it’ll ever change...even if we make the 8, people love to hate on the kid

I forgot about ADs suspension, damn. Meanwhile poor old Brent Naden can load himself with coke, get caught and be back at training early Jan.

Yep, something not right about the Naden thing.

I can’t even remember why Douehi is suspended! It’s ridiculous really, what’s the point of carrying something over from last season, we weren’t even in the bloody finals! It’s a whole new season, everything should just start afresh, imo.

I’ll be happy if Brooks just gets rid of his dummy and run straight into the opposition play. That would be a vast improvement on 2020 to start with.

Brooks already spat his dummy out once

Having a few people run with him would help - then if he elects not to pass but run himself, puts the opposition in two minds - they hold off for a split second and he is through.

No one runs with him, like in 2020 - he gets crunched and goes nowhere.

I was always hoping Brooks and M Moses when he was here would try and emulate J thurston, who was the best at running to the line shaping to pass and sliding straight through.Moses was and still is too much of a cat to run the ball and Brooks doesn’t seem to have the footy smarts to do it,both have the pace though

I felt like he didn’t use Luciano enough at all, Luc is such a damaging runner and was often cut out or brooksy went himself. Mbye played a lot of centre on that side and he did very little in attack which didn’t help brooks at all, didn’t run like a natural centre.
