I think we should use Mbye a little different if he is with us for the remainder of his contract, and that is definitely not as a 14.

We are short in the fullback position so I think all of his training should be in that position so that he can develop a set skill set as a fullback and become a specialist instead of an all rounder. That may mean he starts the season in reserves to hone his craft but it’s a long season so no doubt with injuries etc he will be called upon.

I know having a player on his $$ in reserves is not ideal but if he purely focuses on fullback then it will go a long way to fulfilling a need for the team.

He won't be starting the season in reserves, he is our 1st choice fullback.

Really?? I know you have a bit more knowledge about the internal workings than most of us on here so do you think they see Mbye as a 14 or potentially long term fullback??

At this point he will be fullback all year.

I don’t mind that at all I think he has a great skill set that can develop into a very good fullback.

Re Brooks comment. Agree I think he needs to work super hard on his running game. Its one of his biggest weaknesses, it hurts watching that dummy! I think he would be more affective just getting the ball quick to, BJ if he is now on the left, than run straight into tackles. Surely he will be going through video of last year and improving all those things 🙂

Mbye fullback all year by default. I want more FB options for 2022, not just Daine. Its a work in progress though and I am satisfied with the clubs moves this off season.

I can’t even remember why Douehi is suspended! It’s ridiculous really, what’s the point of carrying something over from last season, we weren’t even in the bloody finals! It’s a whole new season, everything should just start afresh, imo.

Didn’t even hit him with his shoulder, was more his back. Total ludicrous suspension.
