I like Momers but man we have a lot of centres. Joey, Roberts, Momers, Talau, Kei, Hoffman, Cini plus more in juniors. It would be sad to see Momirovski go but the deal makes sense.

He’s behind Jimmy, BJ and Tommy in the centres and we have absolutely no backup for fullback. It’s a big win for us if the deal goes through.

Clearly the Tigers considering we signed BJ and JTJ after already having him on the books and now we’re apparently looking to get rid of him.

He was a backup player in both squads, could have been a bit more if he didn't get injured and miss a chunk of the season at Melbourne.

I would suggest he was ahead of Branko Lee if he wasn't injured.

I wouldn't call Garner small, he has the body to be a damaging wide running second rower. He always reminds me of the the saying "looks like Tazan, plays like Jane!"

his misses in defence are quite often bad one's and shouldnt matter who you run outside

Hoping to end the contract saga that began with a revelation that “the next big thing” reneged on a $500,000 handshake deal, the Panthers confirmed that a revised contract had been finalised and would be put to Crichton as early as this week.

“It has been a bit of a process since the grand final but we are almost there,” Penrith coach Ivan Cleary (inset) said.

“It (managing the roster) has been a challenge for us after a successful year that came as a bit of a surprise, but we are confident that he won’t be going anywhere.”

It is understood the $2.25 million will include a $250,000 upgrade to his current contract which is set to expire at the end of this year.

The $750,000-a-year deal will leapfrog Crichton over Roosters powerhouse Joey Manu ($700,000) as the NRL’s highest-paid full-time centre in a stunning achievement for a 20-year-old who has played just 26 NRL games.

The Panthers are confident the new deal will be enough to fend off interest from a long line of rival clubs, led by the cashed-up Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs.

He played centre for the Roosters when they won the comp, then he played centre for the Storm when they won the comp....maybe Penrith know something you don't...

He was a backup player in both squads, could have been a bit more if he didn't get injured and miss a chunk of the season at Melbourne.

I would suggest he was ahead of Branko Lee if he wasn't injured.

Some good outside backs coming through for sure. Hoffman and Kei already are development players and I'm sure they will sign more for next season

I wonder what party is proposing the deal. Penrith might be the one thinking about it and we might not do it, or we might've offered it to them. Penrith kinda do need a centre too so makes sense
