Well it might not be a rumour but given we are one of the few clubs with cash Im going to make it a signing suggestion. Sign Cronk for HB - Now I'm Brooks fan but imagine what he could learn for 2 yrs playing wth Cronk and training with Cronk

He won't come here. He wants another premiership and no one pays in brown bags like the roosters. They are now reporting jakefriend has been told to look elsewhere with Pearce or friend to play hooker.

The only player I can think of who might be a chance to start for the roosters would be Nofoaluma. We are weaker across the park and substantially weaker through the spine. That's where years and years of poor management gets you….a whopping great hole that is bloody hard to climb out of.

If they play Cronk at 7 and Pearce at 9, round 1 will be a good time to get them. Throw in Tedesco at 1, and their spine will probably need time to gel.

No different to the Moylan signing imo. We already have our hookers for 18, just like we had our fullback. We need to wait for a centre or backrower, not just a player we can sign because they happen to be on the market.

I dont understand how the rooters can afford Cronk on what should be a level playing field , however the NRL just dont get it , the general footy public dont care for the rooters ,just look at the blockbuster 25000 crowd they drew in a major final.The NRL need to have the Tigers,Souths ,Dragons ,Dogs or Eels playing in the finals , real crowd pulling teams ,unfortunately the game is going backwards when teams can rort willy nilly.

Easts would be the team to beat in 2018 with the Puppet Master on board.

I would give anything to have Cronk at WT. One of the best half backs of all time and a player you can build a side around. Makes Brooks look like amateur hour.

Easts verses Storm in the 2018 Grand Final would be very interesting.

Friend would be an enormous upgrade on Liddle and/or McIlwrick, especially given the quality of his short kicking game (an area our halves are deficient in). A major upgrade at hooker is going to make more of a difference to the team than any upgrade we could make at centre or 2nd row (short of signing Taumalolo, Sam Burgess, Crichton, Cordner or someone else completely unrealistic…)
