After watching Nicho Hynes get interviewed by Matt Johns gee I wish he was at our club.

If Roberts could actually get some early ball or some grubbers put through the line for him I am sure he would be doing better. I dont understand why so many teams spread it wide when inside their own 20 n we dont when we have a real fast player in Roberts

I agree, and Hastings will be 7 if not the start of next year, it will be early rounds, in my opinion he is coming to do what Brooks can't.


Is Hastings fast enough to be in the backs? Looking a recent games in the UK he doesn’t look very quick. He might be better as a ball playing lock

He is slow.

Madden may not be the answer, but he is quick and has variety and vision. With a side that plays a 2nd rower centre (mck) a slow winger at 5/8 (Doeuhie) a future forward at wing and centre (TT) The last thing we need is a slow 1/2. Lack of speed is our biggest problem.

I reckon he’s a ball playing lock , or if he bulks up a bit , an edge backrower . I would seriously consider a madden and Brooks halves combo . But that’s just me

Watching the kid play I’d take the same risk Newcastle did with Ponga and throw the cash..... the guy will be the best player in the world at one stage I reckon

Worst out of it comes potentially that the roosters might have to bid a little higher or fork out more money to keep him.

Honestly would throw like 800-900 k a year at him, similar to what we were saying to offer Harry Grant after his first year here.

Roosters might only be able to offer like 500k hence why they’re trying to get it done early, if we offer 400k more over a number of years it might get him thinking at the very least. Put some pressure on roosters too, still haven’t got our revenge after they stole teddy from us.

Not saying we’ll get him but money talks and as I said the worst that’ll come is roosters will pay more or be pressured.

I see AD as more of a centre than anything else. He can catch high and 10m from the try line he will barge over. He is too unfit for fullback and my God he is a ball hog at five-eight. Our right side hasn't got a single good ball all year.

Gagai is a big time no from me. The dude is so inconsistent at NRL level. Only shows up in contract years and for rep games. He's not strong mentally and I believe he would be awful at a club that was performing badly.

Which is why we are absolutely odds on to land him.

If we land him I hope Brooks lands one on him.

Tired of the excuses made for Brooks. 900k players don’t completely lose form because of the coach. How many coaches has Adam Reynolds had? He managed to perform for all of them.

Cleary can coach. And the amount of $ Brooks is reported to be on fluctuates from between $600k to $900k depending on the writer. And it was on this forum a poster reported Reynolds would not come to WTs?

I’m watching Canberra V Rabbits tonight. Canberra lost there halfback in the warm up and are playing a backrower at 7.
South have Benji at 7. Benji set up a try and let one in. Canberra are winning (so far). How does Hastings defend? Better that Benji?
