If Roberts could actually get some early ball or some grubbers put through the line for him I am sure he would be doing better. I dont understand why so many teams spread it wide when inside their own 20 n we dont when we have a real fast player in Roberts

I keep saying the halves are the problem until this is fix Zip.

I agree, and Hastings will be 7 if not the start of next year, it will be early rounds, in my opinion he is coming to do what Brooks can't.

Is Hastings fast enough to be in the backs? Looking a recent games in the UK he doesn’t look very quick. He might be better as a ball playing lock

He’s a 7. His job will be to be fast between the ears and get the ball to hopefully some fast outside backs.

Brooks is very fast. Doesn’t help much does it?

Cleary had no issue getting the best from Brooks. Now where is his team sitting?

wash your mouth out

Lot of talk about Hastings playing as a ball playing lock

Big question is this ...how will Hastings cope with having to make 40 plus tackles 24 weeks a season

You forgot about the extra Finals games.

No I didn't

I see AD as more of a centre than anything else. He can catch high and 10m from the try line he will barge over. He is too unfit for fullback and my God he is a ball hog at five-eight. Our right side hasn't got a single good ball all year.

Maybe he should try his hand at rugby.

And our daily m half and coach of the century got us to 9th place, amazing achievement.

Just watched Hull and Wigan game, Hastings is a quality player, he is the game manager we need.

Sounds promising, I’ll have a look.
Do you think his speed and defence will be up the NRL standard?

He's a Cameron Smith style of player, sets up the plays, great hands and vision, a talker and a good defender. Not fast but all class and composure. A leader. I had my doubts but this guy is very good. The commentaters want him as the England 5/8 , that says it all !

I agree completely mate, glad to see people are watching him play rather than knocking him without watching him.

What’s your point? Cleary ran a million miles away from here and isn’t coming back.

Tired of the excuses made for Brooks. 900k players don’t completely lose form because of the coach. How many coaches has Adam Reynolds had? He managed to perform for all of them.

That is a very good point, not popular with some on here though, but I agree

If panthers don't give To'o a bag we need to throw the farm at him. Kid is just so strong and hungry every week. Looks destined for origin footy this year.

He is great mates with Luai, so it would be hard to get him to leave, worth a shot though, even if to just drive his price up to make it harder for Ivan

Cleary can coach. And the amount of $ Brooks is reported to be on fluctuates from between $600k to $900k depending on the writer. And it was on this forum a poster reported Reynolds would not come to WTs?

My issue is, whether or not Cleary can coach, Brooks can play. He was Dally M HB not so far back.

As much as I hate Mitch Moses, you can say he's at least consistent. Consistently average in my opinion, but he more or less does the same job every week, and Parramatta either built upon it with better players, or they don't.

Brooks, he doesn't have that consistency. His best is very much better than Moses, but his regular is average.

I don't believe that only one coach or coach type can get the best from a player, who suddenly becomes a lesser player with another coach.

Said it before but forget Sam Walker. Try Ronald Volkmann on about a third of the price.

1/3 of the price, 1/3 of the ability

I believe style of leadership, whether a leader possesses well-developed interpersonal and person management skills, tactical sense and how a leader reacts under adverse conditions can impact the performance of those he or she leads. Bennett's intervention last night is an example, which Gould made mention of in commentary.
