Seems like he has checked out. The more I think about it, Isaako to WT and Walters to Broncos is ready to happen however either Broncos or WT are trying to get something else out of the arrangement. I don't think WT are keen on DWZ however we are using him to get something more favourable out of the Broncos whether that is another player or $ reduction.
If WTs management were using a "supposed" interest in DWZ to play the Broncos for Isaako, I'd applaud our management. We need to be more ruthless in our recruitment and I'm hoping our days bending over a copping it up the clacker by other clubs are long gone.
“were using a "supposed" interest in DWZ to play the Broncos for Isaako, “
I hope not. They don’t want to be anything but believable during negotiations. Leave that sort of stuff to some player managers.
The "Supposed" interest in DWZ needs to send the message to the Broncos that we aren't sitting around waiting for their demands. It doesn't necessarily mean that we are behaving in a dodgy way like some player managers do tho. Negotiations are a game in themselves and we need to play things in our favour.
An enquiry can send a strong message and we need to have back up plans also
I agree with your view that discussion should be robust/aggressive to the point that there is no room for misunderstanding. Just not in favour of pretence, where trust is trying to be developed. It’s great to have choices in a buyers market, but surely there are other ways to create urgency when working in a sellers market. Just putting a different view up, it may not be the favoured process, just different.
