The question is, do people want Finucane for 800k? Because that's what he's reported to be asking for.

750K per year for 2 years would be good, maybe with a club option. Instant credibility with good players and a culture shift. 100% do it.

I think is way more than a defensive lock/middle forward is worth. He plays a very similar role to Tamou, Twal and Seyfarth and is probably still better then all of them but Twal and Seyfarth still have room to improve while Finucane is at the end of his career and if he is not on the downhill now, he soon will be. Tamou is the player we brought in for Culture and Leadership and we have others that lead by example.

Paying a forward overs also causes friction with the forwards you already have. I would also rate Trbojevic, Radley, Murray, Brandon Smith, McIness, Nathan Brown, Jason Taumalolo, Yeo, Tohu Harris, Tapine, Matterson and possibly some others as locks with more influence on a game.

I’m not interested in Finucane at all. Way too many red flags. A bloke at the back end of his career looking for the biggest contract of his career when his best footy is behind him. On top of that he’s struggled to get on the field the last couple of years.

Big no from me.

IMHO, there are few better options, e.g.
- Murray
- Chricthon
- Graham

To sign any one of them would skew our salary cap for years. If we had to sign similar type players instead of relying on the young blokes coming through, which would be the preferred option, more realistic options would be:
Magoulis (Sharks) Legitimate ball playing forward
Fitzgibbon (Knights) Good angle runner like Garner with defence
Capewell (Panthers) Great timing and game awareness
Watson (Knights) Not a natural forward, can create opportunities, on field Mr. Fixit
Sua: Think another Joffa

Were not that poor anymore and no more collecting rejects on big money.

a few more wins this year and players will be lining up to play behind this forward pack in the years to come.

Along with the COE opening in 2022 we will be a strong club to come and play for.
Few in KOE can come up as well but I still feel Musgrove can add some strong value if his head is switched on.

How many COE’s are out there across clubland?
I’m starting to think the COE is just a ticket to the game and not a differentiator

Beg to differ as we have had antiquated gym and rehab facilities for so long, it will be good for the team to have the best equipment to train and rehab in, along with a boost to our
professionalism as an organisation.

That’s what I meant by ticket to the game. Not suggesting we shouldn’t have one, merely suggesting that it may not be the wonder lure that we’d probably all have hoped for. We’re not Robinson Crusoe when it comes to COE’s, as Panthers, Titans, Broncs, Raiders and now us and Manly are going to have one. They’re is probably more that I’m not aware of too

Jeeze hahah, looked at the name first as GC? Gold Coast?

Either way, I believe us getting into the 8, fan base as well as having state of the art facilities and good staff in and around the club will attract the right people.

Who would be attracted demountables lol

Yep Gold Coast is right IsaakTigers.
What I mean is what is our Value Proposition when Panthers, Broncs, Raiders, Titans, and Manly all chase the same player we’re going after. Of course we should have one, just don’t know if it gets the deal done like we’re hoping it’s going to. It’s a bit like many employers expecting a job applicant to have a Uni degree to be considered for a job

Yea i saw that - dogs would only want a forward.

Musgrove?

Man we only just signed him up for ages goes to show we do need further support with recruitment

I think Musgrove will struggle to make the 17
Our forwards are really starting to click
I know we signed Musgrove for 4 years
But **if another team wants to take him off our hands for full freight** then I am all for it
As long as there is a decent quality back in it for us

Why would anyone offer anything in return for an unwanted player on a four year deal? Honestly I don't know how many times I say it on here: THIS ISN'T HOW IT WORKS. You can't get another club to pay you to take the dud contracts you've given to players you no longer want off your hands.

No need to lose your knickers
It's was a comment
**if another team wants to take him off our hands for full freight**
See the word "if"
They want a forward
We have one you can have
But he is full freight
Or we keep him as back up
Packers gone soon
And Cheekam
So keeping Musgrove is OK by me
As far as I can tell, we have the upper hand against the Dogs
They need forwards badly

I get that, and apologies to come off salty. It's just that it's really not much of an "if". I mean, if Scarlett Johanson is waiting for me at my place tonight I'll be chuffed about it but there's really not a great deal of point speculating about whether or not it's going to happen is there?

Much of this signings Suggestions and Rumours is based on if
99% never eventuate

As far as Scarlett Johanson goes
No chance buddy
She would never leave me

they will lock Manu away now

I don't believe there was any doubt he would stay. He is such an integral part of the Roosters team and a great player.

I think their plans got thrown out with walker being so good. A convenient retirement will get the cash up to get them out of a jam

Yeah probably one of those Roosters exponential retirements, where the player signs on at $500K p.a. but clears $1M from the cap p.a. when retired.

I was a few people over from on him Friday night at Leichhardt, he was dressed in his Denver Bronco's hoodie and covering his head as he would have copped a spray or two from the hill. Surprised he is a Tigers fan with all the garbage he dishes on us.

I think he has always been a fair and honest reporter, we have been poor at times, we must expect criticism,

No he makes stuff up and half of everything he writes is toilet water.

But there are plenty of Tigers fans who go overboard despite their passion for the club - or perhaps because of it.

Train and trialists Edene Gebbie and Junior Pauga both training with first grade. Both will be pushing for some sort of deal for next year I'm sure, pauga has looked pretty decent in reserves

Just checked DWZ stats and he’s scored 5 tries in 9 games and averages 167m a game, that’s 20 more meters than nofa! All that in a dogs team Playing out of position with no forwards. Just imagine nofa and DWZ chalking up those meters in our team together! For 3-400k and swap with Joey leilua, make it happen!!

They would be one of the slowest wing combinations in the NRL. A big no thanks. Wingers also need to possess pace and outstanding finishing and not just 10 metres out.

DWZ should not be blocking one of our good youngsters from a wing position. Good young players who even at their age offer more than simply hitting the ball up like a second row forward. Thank goodness Sheens is coming so we can have some innovative thinking aboard HMAS Weststigers.
