I'd be surprised if we're looking at anyone at the moment.

Heard today were having a serious crack at RTS

Heard the same thing from a Tigers insider last week. Said he is not happy at The Warriors and feels his career is going backwards over there. Was told if released (which i doubt Warriors would do), then Tigers would definitely be interested.

He would be a very handy signing. I guess we'll find out in good time.

Later today would be a good time.

Can't see his signing being for 2018\. 2019 more likely. If we did manage to pull off his signing, I wonder how many people who were desperate for Moylan will be glad we didn't sign him. Because RTS is ten times the player Moylan is.

I agree with you GNR. I'd really like to see Tui get first crack at fullback. However if he doesn't do a good job back there, we should chase Roger. Whether it's for 2018 or a mid season transfer, I think Tui should be given a crack at fullback before we go out and try to sign RTS.

Moylan, RTS ,Napa, Maloney, Dugan, Pearce, Cronk etc 'we could argue all day as to who we as individuals think would be the most valuable to the club, and we still wouldnt agree. But I think most of us want to be a club that players of that calibre will comitt to - and while we continue to discuss the possibility, at this point we keep coming up short.

Sounds like RTS is the captain who's fed up with his egotistical halfback

I really don't think SJ has an ego.

Yeha, I've seen him talk about giving up big $'s to be part of something special at the Warriors. He doesn't sound like he is a moses/ted.

The RTS who played for the Roosters is better than Moylan, but i'm not sure the RTS who played for the Warriors is. In saying that he's not the only player who's joined the Warriors and gone backwards. I'm sure getting away from there (and more specifically Kearney) would see him improve out of sight. I really hope we get him.

Nonononono! If there is a player available that is substantially better than what we have now (RTS is substantially better than Tui in every way) then we should go for that player. Not chasing one of the games premier fullbacks because we want to give our (completely unproven) guy a chance is just stupid.

Where would you play Lolohea? Guy has shown enough to see that he's got talent.

ISP I guess. He'd be a good backup for RTS.

Wonder how he'd go in the centres, I think he's got what it takes.

You couldn't not have a crack at RTS though if he's wanting out. You'd be mad not to.

Exactly, the good teams take the chance at a good player when one comes on the market, the also rans like us sit back and think, ohh this bloke we already have could come good.
The roosters had the origin halfback, but the Australian halfback came on the market, so they upgraded. The sharks had a rep player at fullback, but still bought 2 more rep players who play fullback, manly have a rep halfback, but are going hard for another rep halfback.
The teams that are at the pointy end of the comp do this, we need to be one of those teams if we are going to climb the ladder.

When we declined to pay Tedesco millions, (nearly  ) everyone on this forum supported idea of 'not putting all our eggs in 1 or 2 baskets', which means we will not buy expensive (marquee??) players, we prefer 'champion team' to a 'team of champions'.
And (arguably) Tedesco is better player than RTS, Holmes or many other 'marquee' FB mentioned here.
But suddenly we want to pay RTS 'whatever it takes' ?? :crazy
Please explain.

The Warriors have a habit of destroying lots a good players careers.

Don't worry about Tui….He is a definite starter at fullback and will possibly be called upon to kick goals too....RTS (If our dreams come true) will play on the wing where he is dynamite in attack....Both of them will feed off each other and if it happens then I foresee tries galore....Bring it on Mammy.... :sign:

We've already built the side and have money left over. A bit different to pissing the money away upfront on one or two names and then having to round out the side with bargain bin buys.

Cant tell if you are serious.

No way RTS plays on the wing if he comes to the Tigers. Will take the FB spot straight up. I like Tui but could only see him in ISP as a result, putting pressure on the 1st grade halves and as a replacement for an injured RTS.

RTS rumour was started by Marty Johns who is in the know more than most. Player manager that told me Woods to the Dogs before it was public confirmed we are after him.
Good to hear there seems to be inside mail on here linking is currently to RTS as I think it’s legit. I think he’s better than Teddy don’t forget it takes 12 months to return to form after serious leg injuries.
