Forget the big name players we need to read the tea leaves. We have signed Ofehengaue, Luciano, Blore, Laurie, Musgrove, Amone, Simpkin, Douihei, Maumalo, Utoikamanu, Tamou, Kepoa, Jet, BJ and now Hastings, Gildart.

To be honest it’s not a bad list BJ, Jet, Tamou are the three that have not worked out. I’ll reserve Judgement on Kepoa and Musgrove.
The majority of players signed by the current management have been good. The offset in that time we have lost Aloai, Matterson, Corey Thompson. Two forces their way out which is the way it works at struggling clubs.

Where we have struggled is a lack of pathways and no one of note coming through our own systems. Let’s hope Tuilagi, Tuki Simpkins, Tumeth, Kei, Ogden, Fuamtimo, Tuifua,Scolari etc come through strongly.

It is not a bad list?
Tamou, Kepoa, Jet, BJ, Hastings, Gildart all would not get another club play them in firsts in Aus.

Big Joe O admitted absolutely no one was interested in except us...not one club.

Luciano would not start for anyone else with his D.

Amone, big Maumolo...most clubs have squad players at that level. It is not like they are stand outs.

Mugrove has had two decent NRL games in five years...


Our young players may or may not make 'the leap'. Laurie has been good, but we are talking about maybe the 12th best FB in the game. Jake and Tuki may be great...but yet to really stand out in state cup.

I have hope, but I do think a lot of us here overrate our roster. We are third last for a reason.

I agree and have stated before we have the second worst roster in the comp. the players we signed are actually the better prospects. That’s the issue the cupboard was bare and cap was poorly managed. Now we can’t attract players youth the only way.

At the risk of sounding like a negative nellie I think we are still a chance to get it this year...

We play the dogs twice …

Exactly, they roll us twice and we are in deep poo.

Not saying it going to happen or even likely to happen, just that we are a chance..

There for and against is that bad they need to win 3 more games, even with 2 against us I don't see that happening.

Roster have a look at Will chambers from the Sharks and then just each year look to improve the roster until we are in a position to get a super star or make one Sheen's has an eye for super Stars

We don't have a great track record against dogs late in the season lol

Vaughan made a huge mistake, but the other players could of easily just said they weren't going to go to the BBQ. Vaughan didnt make em go the BBQ they chose to go

He's made 3 mistakes allegedly. Thats the reason he was terminated. Add to that, after he was caught this time, he organised a zoom meeting amongst the players so they could all get their stories straight before fronting the integrity unit. Concocting untruths as a version of events never ends well in any field.

I am not trying to defend Vaughan just pointing out that the other players chose to go to the BBQ when they knew they shouldn't have gone

If you want to try ...have 3 major incidents that you are mainly to blame for where you work , where you have breached major WH&S policies ...you'll probably end up unemployed .....

I've worked at my job for 24 years and last year got a warning for breaching a major WH&S policy ...and all I was doing was trying to help out the manager the next day as they had a newish staff member on ....OK I fell off a ladder and displaced my wrist lol ..but rules are rules and I shouldn't have done what I did ..risk isn't always the reward

I worked for social services and did the wrong thing by making sure a young person was safe. The staff before me and my management didnt help this kid. I did n got thrown under the bus because i broke the rules. I got investigated for 7 months became an outcast at my work place and eventually quit. At the end of the investigation i was found to of not done anything wrong and was commended for my actions by the executive director. I was then asked to come back, to which i said no.
I am completely aware of the consequences of breaking rules and the fallout from them.

The club has been very quite of late in general but I wonder if it's because they know the fans have had enough.. They would of got emails galore and people asking for memberships refunds etc and every time they post something on social media they are just copping it left right and centre.. There has been no update from the CEO and to me its just not good enough.
Surely they need to make something happen soon because to us fans it's like they are running a circus in there. I appreciate we have a recruitment strategy in place but when every target of quality says no to us and would rather go to Dog, Broncos or even Dragon who are in a world of pain that says something..
We have the money and if they are targeting other lesser quality players who are a good fit than that's fine but the question needs to be asked ???? WHERE R THEY??? I would of thought it would of been easier to sign lesser quality players compared to top line ones..
The only thing I can think of is that they want to hold off until Sheens gets here but that is a stretch..
