Suli is a great player we should of worked with the young bloke.

Lament thread please.

How many clubs has he been to since he left WT'S let's see if he can back it up on a consistent basis

If Brooks leaves whilst the club is preaching junior pathways that would be stupid. He is the only junior performing.

Souths need a half and if the talk is serious he will get snapped up by them.

I can see it now many on here bagging him often would be screaming how did we let him go.

Would be very different as well given we actually pushed him on. Not like Teddy, Matto, Moses, Woods - we pushed him.

Hastings isn’t the answer at halfback for us.

The coach who recruited Brooks is on the way to rejoin the club.

Yeah mate hence why I wouldn’t be able to understand if this happened. But hey we are the wests tigers and being smart isn’t exactly a track record we have oozing.

Chammas wrote the article. wouldn't be inclined to believe him considering his track record. could be wrong, but considering how staunchly the tigers defended Brooks early in the season I'd find it hard to believe that we're shopping him around, especially considering Hastings is very much an unknown entity.

Chammas spent last week dreaming up "feuds" that might exist in the NRL bubble, due to previous history between players.

I don't know what's happened to the bloke recently but it's like he's auditioning to write for News Ltd, or appear on NRL on Fox - all rumour-mongering and personal vendettas. Real tripe. And this is not even pro-Tigers backlash, it's just how he's fallen into the Weedler / Pooper gossip mill approach.

I'd rather hear about real football, real results, real analysis then the backroom whispers, 99% of which do not play out. All a bit too "Woman's Day" for me.

Yeah Chammas once upon a time used to get decent oil and report. Now he's as you say firmly in the gossip category, which constitutes roughly 99% of league journalists.

Rumour Chammas being shopped around to Guyra Argus, Riverina Grazier, Murrumburrah Signal and County of Harden Advocate . Denies rumour, says he has finally realised that bagging Tigers will keep him employed as it boosts circulation numbers due the extraordinary interest in the club by 80% of league fans.

No one, not even superman, would have lifted this club in the last few years. Without doubt Brooks has been our best, and most consistent player. It would be rediculous for the club to loose him, but for his sake i hope he goes to a decent club, and be rid of the fools that constantly bag him. He would be worth far more dollars then TPJ and an ageing Finnucane.

100%. I was just thinking how much clickbait he's put out recently. If you look at his stories from earlier in the year or last year they have a completely different tone.

As much as the SMH want to dress it up, they're just as trashy as the Tele, news.com and Daily Mail.

The Brooks thing has been floating around for months, it’s not new news. Ricky has been looking for a new 7 since the Pom got homesick and has been linked to Brooks.

I just think it would be madness to let him go. All gets back to not being able to offload Mosses M.

He was at one point working for nrl.com I thought. Don't know what happened there, maybe too much gossip and not enough factual content.

Chammas must have run 5 "pressure on Madge is mounting" articles last week, then appeared on the radio to discuss those articles. Basically running a complete news cycle based entirely on your own opinions or very obvious commentary. Madge under pressure hey? Would not have guessed.

SMH is "Independent Always" please

Let him go. Regardless of how good he’s been this year he hasn’t really been that good has he? No other club in the league would stick with a 7 this long, it’s really time to move on.

I think Weedler gets more clicks.. so Dhammas lifted his game..

Sadly, the SMH from front to back has gotten increasingly worse since Nine got a hold on them.

That is true however it is still far better than Murdochs empire of lies

I like Brooks but who knows, maybe Madge is still plucking weeds from the lazy attitude garden that won't fit his vision.

Brooks needs to move on for the club and himself . The team needs a refresh in the halves he needs a new environment , not interested in the pros and cons but he has been at the club long enough ! Hastings was always signed to have ball in hand which means in the halves 3 into 2 don’t go so there is the equation like it or not .
Plenty of clubs have moved on contracted and long serving players as there is a change in direction .. Panthers are one in recent years.

So true - I had a subscription to the SMH for years and years - wouldn't p on the Telecrap. I discontinued my subscription last year

The way our two halves combined yesterday is a combination we have been searching for over many years. The Broncos lack a combination of this quality. I don't believe for a minute WTs is contemplating any move.

Tigers finally get a win and rather than talk positively about them winning their game, the media always find a way to have a dig at us/take away the good things that happen to the club. I believe he has been one of the more solid performers for the last 10 or so weeks. Timing just seems odd to come out now with it.

People need to listen and watch what the media have to say a lot less. World would be a better place.
