Given our lack of appeal to the other players we tried to sign, Woods, at the right price, might be the closest thing to a "name" signing we can get right now from what's available. Our pack lacks experience and Woods may be able to help some of our young guns like Stefano, Blore and Seyfarth,

We need a few senior players who will be the best player on the field regularly, that ain’t Woodsy

does anyone think that if Woods signed, that he'd even be in the 17? Tamou and Twal are better workhorses, and Joffa, Seyfarth, Mikaele and Stefano are all far better as impact. not to mention Tuki Simpkins being a 19 year old and Tuilagi playing that middle forward role as well. front rowers are the last thing we need right now. it's back rowers and centres.

I reserve my grudge holding for those who broke contracts and threw games.

He took our best three players to the dogs for a secret meeting to sign with them. While he was the captain of the club.

Woods still hasn’t impressed me with his defence. And that is a factor we should be recruiting for.

I feel we need about 3-4 senior experienced players that have a couple of years in the tank and are willing to be part of a young and building set up. Add to the leadership group and really help the side in and around situations on the field.

A Zane Tetavano type that has found his way into the past 3 grandfinals.

I wouldn’t be opposed to seeing if Sue wants to come back for one of these roles. But other guys like Dunamis Lui and Kamikamika at the storm might be good options.

Really wished Takiaho wanted to stay in the league but I don’t think any forward over 30 is worth more than 200-300k.

Alex Glen is another one I would consider. All reports are that Broncos are pushing him to retire.
He still throws everything into a game and has some versatility that is very beneficial. Offer him a 1 + 1 club option.

Maybe you could start a retirement home for Rugby League players that are beyond their use by date. The list you have above is a good start.

I was saying basically we don't need all these guys you were talking about. I am happy with what we have, if we keep TM and Seyfarth. Maybe a good ball playing lock - where ever you get one of those and would come here. I am happy to stay with and develop my two above, plus Stefano Alphabet, Simpkins, Tuilagi, Blore and Amone + others that are coming through. Need another forward with experience besides Joffa and Tamou, as I mentioned a ball playing lock, would do the trick.

Granted I get what you saying. But our main issue this year is lack of leadership throughout the 80.

I’ve had a think about what your saying. Agree with the ball playing lock however still feel we are one hard hit up prop short.

A player I really think we should consider is Moses Leota.

He is 26 and just shy of 100 games.
Off contract from November.

He is doing superbly at a very strong Panthers pack and there is no doubt he adds to that.
However he is currently 2nd fiddle to James Fisher Harris and not the main man.

He really could be a marquee prop one I would consider a contract larger then the three years for. Not sure what his paid at Penrith and I wouldn’t be throwing all of packers money at him but the word is money is tight in that Panthers pack and if he goes to market he would be available to sign for 2023 and he would properly command upwards of $500k

He could be our circuit breaker, a Mr Consistent, hard working, hard nosed prop.

This could be likened to Roy Asotasi going from the high flying Bulldogs to the struggling Rabbitohs.

He could be well intrenched in the Panthers culture and loving life out west but is NZ born and entered their system at 13.

If we were to wage against Penrith’s restricted cap there is every chance he could be picked up.

How was Sowards defense when they won the Comp? Or Cronk’s when they hid him for the whole GF? If your back rowers can tackle you’re not talking about edge defense.

Sorry, but you have been looking at last year … go to nrl.com and make sure you look at the correct year. Croft over 88% and Brooks just over 86%. Not much … but better.
