Good mover

Yawn. Jobber. Next

Looks small and fast. A pretty average highlights package, not much to get overly impressed by

I believe Dudley is of Papuan background, not indigenous (though whole life in Australia). Looks like he goes alright.

QLD Murri

Moves well. Busy on and off the ball. Looks like he has the potential to be an absolute unit. Good luck to him. Hope it works out.

We have seen plenty of talented kids come through the WTs....huge potential, brilliant pace, skills and the next big name that has retired.....unfortunately while they stand out in their particular age group they seem to fail once they hit the intense NRL level required to be a success...

Brooks comes to mind and was tipped to be the next Joey Johns....150 games and doesnt even look like making at least the origin squad even if he doesnt play finals...some cut it and progress further in their careers...some stay at the level that their ability peaks at....

Interested to know why both sides agreed on one year for Mikaele.

1 year is a bit weird eh?

I’m happy with it, a bit of improvement lately but he’s hardly set the world on fire.

I agree.

Just not sure why just the one year.
Surely had better offers elsewhere.

Not sure he walks into too many other sides other than off the pine. IMO needs to learn to run a hole and a bit suspect in defense when tiring.

Not sure this is that fair, he’s still only very young for a middle. Look at Paseka he was a very big talented junior with us, the seagulls snapped him up and it’s taken years for him to establish himself as a first grader. Not everyone is a payne in the hass, he’s a freak! To me he’s a shining light one of a few to bend the line in our squad, the rest will come with time if managed well.

Ok so he isnt the quickest or most explosive player we have seen but i thought he showed some good touches in those highlights.

Showed patience at times, seems to read the play pretty well for a young guy. More a footballer than an athlete is how id look at him.

A project player who needs some good coaching to reach NRL level.

He's an 18 year old high school kid who's played some Q cup....

Such negativity mate, are you OK?

Yeah i agree. May be a footballer in there though. A guy who does the right things at the right time and understands where to put himself and where the gaps are.

Highlights clip is from 1 x game which was round 1....
Some of the best players aren't playing their best in round 1 and take a few weeks to get back into the swing of things.

I saw him :
set up his winger multiple times
Run straight and hard
Compete for the ball
Beat his opposing defender(s)

Prospect signing of course.
I'm liking what I'm seeing.
Hope he excels.

Who knows, in a year or two in our system, he could prove to be an outstanding recruitment find.

Does anyone know if Gebbie is still with us?

Short, lightweight and doesn’t seem super quick.
Does seem to get involved.
Hope we “Do-Right” by him. ?

He asked lots of questions of the defence. As a centre, he runs the ball hard, almost always beats his opponent, looks to unload and is busy supporting the ball carrier. He looks a smooth mover in space as well. Pair him with Jordan Hill on the left and you have a combination.

He's not a flyer, but I thought he showed good pace off the mark and over the first ten metres. That's not a bad attribute for a centre.

Interesting post on the club's Facebook page.
Luke Garner's mum having a go at people who commented on a picture of Luke on a bike as part of his rehab.
Funny thing is that after she commented they all shut up and messages of support was the new trend.
Well done mumma Garner.

The West’s Tigers social media guys must have the hardest job in the biz. Imagine trying to uplift the supporters years after years of misery?

Sort of related but

I remember a funny incident many years ago when Luke Lewis (might have only been his 3rd or 4th game) was playing for Penrith V St George. Some dragons supporter was giving Lewis crap from the sidelines, until his dad confronted him and went “that’s my son you’re abusing” and nearly decked him. Good times

Saw some one in MCK's family come at a supporter who made some smart A comment in relation to a recent post. There is nothing more ugly in society at the moment than the rise of social media and its ability to expose people's desire to publically shame people.

You’re never going to win in that situation. People aren’t going to stop. I remember when we signed Yileen Gordon, his girlfriend signed up to the forum and argued with people. Until the club tore his contract up for acting like a moron at a school clinic. I know it would suck to read that stuff about someone you love and care about, but it’s the way of the world. It comes with the territory of being a public athlete. You should stay away from comment sections.
