Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

A guick analysis of the criteria/players selection in this thread, and not even one considers a player defense as a player primary capability!
This definitely comes as a surprise, as we are well known as a team that plays exrtremely bad defence!
Therfore a question: how many fans on this thread actualy watch our games?

Who says defence isn't considered?

Was told by a flegg staff member earlier in the year that Dillon is pound for pound the strongest in the club, he told me he weighs mid 80’s and can bench 160kg and squat close to 200kg. He told me cardio wise he’s in top 3 in whole club. He told me its a massive effort as he has never had an nrl pre season just the odd session here and there, the guy who told me would know, he had something to do with Dillon in sg ball at the dogs before coming here.

Sounds like someone pumping him up. He's highly talented but has still been swatted away in defence in numerous occasions.

I like Dillon but Jordan Hill and Liam Scolari are the two I really enjoy watching. Hill is tall and very fast. He makes try scoring look easy when in reality it is difficult. Scolari is quick but has that spirit to get over the top of his opponent and it is noticeable his defence is a lot stronger than Dillon's. Dillon also has a clanger or two in him which is more noticeable at the back.

Don’t know if this is the right place for it but saw this on Facebook.
Ok Tigers Fans here’s some updates and information I’ve received from the Club.

The Wests Tigers are in Discussions and are Signing the Required Nsw Cup and Jersey Flegg players they want and believe will take the club forward but hasn’t elaborated names , they are in the market for other available talent but have been told they have targets but will keep all this in house.

The Rumours surrounding Luke Thompson and Jayden Sullivan were false and inaccurate although they did show little interest with Thompson’s manager but there was only one small discussion between the two parties and no offers were made.

I mentioned linking with a Qld Cup side to the Wests Tigers Club I.E Brisbane Tigers or similar to get more talent scouts out n about in Qld and to be able to use their facilities in situations like we’re seeing now and during Qld games for the Tigers and for a great club location to hold fan days etc , he really liked the idea and said there’s merit in looking into it plus he will discuss this with Sheens and his Pathways Dept.

They are currently looking for a Halves Coach for our current Halves and putting the Johns Brothers 1st to approach among others and I’ve been told to stay tuned.

I asked about whether their will be any changes to our Assistant Coaches and I was told it’s in discussion and this process will take shape now and take some time.

Regarding a Boutique Home Ground Stadium ive been told they are working towards it and are working with the state government and councils to achieve this Goal - this is a process mate is what was relayed to me.

The Wests Tigers are heading in the right direction in the necessary areas.
They have many platforms and programs in place with a plan to build towards regular onfield success and that it will take time mate.

The Qld cup area the Tigers should be targeting is Ipswich who are with Newcastle but don’t receive anything.Ipswich & Darling Downs would be a great opportunity in both the men & women’s game for Tigers

Toowoomba Rugby League have just announced they are re-forming the Toowoomba Clydesdale with the goal to be included in the ISC/QLD Cup. Had positive talks with Qld and NRL. Got the ground, got the airport and they want to represent the western regions from Ipswich to Toowoomba and the entire Darling and Western downs. Huge catchment area with a strong rugby league participation. Only money holding them back and they want to be associated with an NRL club that can assist with finances.

I don't know who this kid is and at only 15 he may never play NRL however it really peeves me that ahole Tedesco is now used as a recruitment tool in our junior area. The sooner Kimmorley and Sheens get in to the area the better as our current junior pathways seems to be a joke.

NRL 2021: Roosters land another junior star in Camden Rams product Lachlan Dooner

A personal sales pitch by skipper James Tedesco has helped the Roosters snare another budding star from his old stomping ground at Camden. The James Tedesco seal of approval has helped the Roosters secure yet another junior star.

Lachlan Dooner is still just 15 but it’s a name to keep an eye on after the Camden junior agreed to join the Tricolours set-up last week.

Dooner, a talented centre, comes from a similar background to Tedesco — both are Macarthur juniors and Dooner attends renowned rugby league nursery St Gregory’s College, Tedesco’s alma mater.

It was these links, and a personal sales pitch from the Test and Origin superstar himself, that helped the Roosters land Dooner ahead of several other clubs.

With Trent Robinson, another Rams and St Greg’s alumni, also boasting strong links to the area the Camden to Coogee pipeline is in rude health.

Rangy, athletic and blessed with excellent ball skills, Dooner can play fullback, centre and in the halves and has the size to potentially switch to the forwards once he physically matures.

The junior set-up for next season is yet to be confirmed but Dooner will likely form part of the club’s Harold Matthews side, which is again expected to be an Under 17s competition.

Dooner played in the centres for Combined Catholic Colleges at the NSW Schoolboy Championships in June, scoring a try and kicking five goals in a thumping 42-8 win over Combined Independent Schools.

He also crossed for a try in the 18-14 victory over Combined High Schools.

Smart judges considered him extremely unlucky to miss selection in the team of the tournament, especially given he was unfamiliar with the position when the tournament began.

The Tricolours have become one of the NRL’s best clubs when it comes to junior development with the likes of Sam Walker, Egan Butcher and Joseph Suaalii all making their mark in 2021.

Read this on twitter really pissed me off. Can't sign players, losing up and coming juniors from ex players that are giving it to us in the rear. Seriously this club needs to wake up and get with the program it's one negative after another and as fans we need some good news soon .

He’s someone I can’t understand why he doesn’t have more after him. Probably could use some more fitness but he was one of NSW cup best players as a ball playing 13. Why are us and the brainless bulldogs the only clubs that still play the 13 like a 3rd prop.

Because he is a bog average player. Looked slightly above average in reggies. Reggies is his level.

He is another MCK imho just above reggies but not FG standard.Use if desperate

MCK much more versatile IMO
