That’s why I don’t get why there have been posts claiming the club needs to extend Stefano ASAP. Even if they extend him for 5 years, there is nothing to stop him wanting out after one year. And given this club’s recent history, it will roll over….As long as they are financially compensated of course

I do get that. I guess my point is it’s going to be even harder for us.

I don’t think its good for the comp if the gulf between the haves and have nots is wider (which is what I think will happen if more teams will struggle to retain and recruit quality). It was pretty bad this year.

Tigers are getting better at valuing players but it is still struggling to attract the better ones.

I agree, we should never extend anyone's contracts cause there's a small chance they might leave so what's the point? It's not like majority of players see out their contracts or anything

That’s the same for every other club. We are actually one of the clubs with the least to lose. Melbourne, and the other Queensland clubs will be impacted more by this.

We had this discussion the other day, but you don’t seem to get it. Somehow you still believe locking him up now would make it guarantee he’d stick around. You still seem to think contracts mean something.
