Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

One of Haynes dramas with the Titans is around the fact he came to Sydney for treatment. The treatment was a massage from the whisperers offsider who was part of the package that was sent to the tigers

I would make a big play for Roberts. Was the 5/8 that took the Titans to the finals last year and is a goal kicker.

Seems to have matured over the last couple of years.

Tuimoala Lolohea wants out of the Warriors according to Adrian Proszenko of the SMH. Only 22\. Be cheaper than Hayne and a lot younger. Good player.

He's overrated tbh. If he can't get a look in at the Warriors you have to ask questions. He's being kept on the wing in NSW cup for crying out loud. Nicoll-Klokstad, Hingano and Lino are ahead of him in the pecking order there. Flashy, can score a try, but has lots of flaws. Funnily enough all three of the other guys mentioned are off contract.

Hmm there is something creepy about this whisperer and his dealings. Like extra, scary horror movie creepy. He's probably providing the football players with stem cell therapy farmed from children kept prisoner in basements.

A few weeks ago I was mortified at the thought of losing Moses and ending up with Roberts. After watching him play the last couple of weeks though he has really impressed me. Handy goal kicker too. Lolohea is another I'd like to see us enquire about too.

He can shine outside a dominating halfback. He is too similar to Johnson I'd sign him in a heart beat. Can also play fullback.

As long as all the talk turns into signatures then the Tigers will be good if not in a better spot with the other 3 gone and that will be the ultimate revenge.

Looks like matulino and packer are confirmed. Need one more prop though.

I believe a signing like guerra is a must as well. And I'd be meeting with CHN as soon as possible from Penrith as well

Then we get to the exciting part 5/8 and full back. There's plenty of options here

Watson/lolohea (bargain buys)
roberts/Hopoate (middle range buys)
Cronk/hayne (top line buys)

The bargain buys you are hoping potential turns into reward im a fan of getting atleast one of them but not both too risky.

Then you have many other options for the back links to pick up Milne and Edwards. Again these are cheap buys and inexperienced players which is why I'd like to see a player like Hopoate signed to play centre. Need some experience there and he won't cost a mint and has origin experience.

It's exciting times if you're a tigers fan. As long as Cleary and management pull the right reigns here

I really hope your right with the props coming as it all starts with grunt in the guts, even if Packer's grub act makes him hard to accept. At least they will quickly find their front, rather than dance whilst the defence sets.

Hayne / Roberts / Cronk / Dugan would be awesome, but big $$$$$$$

But if we had to sacrifice to many $$ from having a really strong forward pack lolohea and hopa (if he plays sundays) sound good also

Sounds like there's options for us out of this lot. I wouldn't read too much into Lolohea behind in the pecking order though - after all Stephen Kearney is coach

Sounds like our pack is nearly sorted. Big thing is right backrow now. IMO the best option is a FIT Idris. He would kill it if he can get fit enough. What halves would take the ball to the line with Idris there. Can he get fit enough though? If not, then we are still a player short. Either buy an edge player or move ET there and buy another middle player. But i have high hopes for Idris as a backrower.

8.Packer
9.McIlwrick
10.Matulino
11.McQueen
12.Idris
13.Taylor

14.Seumanufagai
15.Lawrence
16.MCK
17.Sue/Felise/Alioai/Tatola

Im happy with that

Talking about halves. I was quite impressed with Jarome Luai for the Panthers in their NYC game against the Eels yesterday. Given he has Cleary, TMM and Cartwright in front of him, he would be worth a crack.

He looked as good as, if not better than TMM, at NYV level. Bigger frame than TMM as well.

Yesterday was the first time I had seen him so some others might have a more informed opinion on him but I understand he is higly rated.

I wouldnt mind snatching a young gun back from a side that stole one of ours.

The good thing is that the only way is up from here. We're not going to have any more devastating blows with key players turning their backs on us. Now the fun begins. I'd love us to enquire about CHN. He's under contract, but the Panthers are busting at the seems. They can't keep them all.

I keep hearing the same rumour that TMM will be back here next year. He's on bugger all at the Panthers.

We'll be linked to half the comp over the coming weeks.

I find that hard to believe. TMM didn't have many positive things to say about us when he left.
