I like Luch more than most but would happily let him go to sign Papali’i.

SMH reporting Isaiah Papali’i has rejected an offer from Parra for 425k a season and has told them he’ll be on the market from November 1. And there’s a club offering him 600k…..Us.

Both the offer and rejection seem reasonable to me.
That's a pretty poor offer from the Eels when he is easily worth around $600k, and his management knows a club like the Tigers are probably desperate enough to offer him something around $800k.
Club should be ashamed.

3 years at $600k a year would be great value for Papali'i.

Love Luciano but 700k a year for him would be madness. 550k is about right for a guy that's still a negative on the defensive side of things.

Any player with a half decent manager knows they will never win anything at Parra, so if you can get more money elsewhere you need to consider and accept it.

If Lucy's manager thinks there's a club out there willing to pay him 700k per year to consistently miss tackles, then good luck to him. Papali'i is a big step in the right direction. The way the game is going we need hard, mobile runners on the edges, he provides that.

Papali'i is perfect for how the game is now. Would be our best signing in a very long time! Fingers crossed we are a chance even if we have to wait for '23
