Im continually confused how people believe that Simpkins' performance was better than Liddles this year. Liddle may not have been great but Simpkin was way out of his depth.

The team's best performance all year was against Souths with Simpkin playing. Not a coincidence

Cini dropped 4 catches, you want to compare that scenario to a 19 year old thats defended in the middle for 70 odd minutes against the Souths pack and was caught lacking at the end of the game?


So it’s ok to write one 19 year old off, but not another? ?

Simpkin isn’t either if you want to be semantic. It’s ok to give up on the 21 year old but not the 20 year old?

Look champ if you want to keep faith in Cini, using some general common sense, considering what he's shown in your eyes so far in reserve grade and first grade, thats up to you. But I doubt you'd have many people following you on that path of faith. Cronulla have him on train and trial, im sure your keen to see how he goes. And yes, if you wanna be semantic, Simpkin was 19* during this season, not 20. cheers.

I doubt Cini gets a top 30 offer from the Sharks but he's definitely one of the better NSW cup players running around. Really just struggled with the step up, but clearly a standout at that level and was arguably the best fullback in the NSW cup tbh.

No one is giving you double standards buddy, if you cant read between the lines thats on you. You compared a mistake of an individual defending in the middle for 80 mins, at the very end of the game vs. dropping bombs. The age part was just to highlight the barrage he was copping in the middle of the field whilst not even being fully developed yet. You've put two together incorrectly.

You acted like I brought that up. I just asked why it was warranted to hate on for him one bad game, while the other is getting a rails run by a section of the forum.

Ok cool, now Im just telling you why they are two completely different scenarios. Giving up faith in Cini has multiple factors to it.. Wheres he gonna play? Fullback? No I think most would rather see Dillon or Laurie there, centre? Pass. Wing? Not quick enough. Simpkin on the other hand, his only competitor is Liddle in this squad, of whom cant pass a ball. Clearly the club see it fit to keep him on given no one has established themselves in that position.

Because it would be either Canberra or Bulldogs that would pick him up and actually use him if any other team wanted him he’s depth but Canberra are possibly losing Hodgson to us and Starling in trouble they possibly have no Hooker if we have got Hodgson and the Bulldogs don’t have a decent Hooker they have JMK but he’s not that great heck if they took Liddle JMK would probably be dropped and we can get something in return from the Dogs from letting him go there if it’s Canberra its Hodgson if its Bulldogs it could be Thompson or someone else
