Please WT, don't sign Foran. Look what happened to injury prone Balin from Manly, he only played a couple of games and I smell a rat. It also appears that after reading all the posts on this forum that Foran goes against what little WT DNA we have left.

WT'S will always be linked to anyone that is available BUT we are now in good hands with people that know what it's all about. Dare I say our new CULTURE might finally be kicking in.

If it's the culture that WT leaders and board have no idea about building and evolving a dynamic and responsive NRL club, then I think you're right.

The Sheens, McDonnell and Marshall appointments sums us up perfectly; go for a feel-good junket that is backward looking, reactionary and shambolic.

**COWBOYS OFFER UP HOOKER IN LEILUA SWAP BID**

Wests Tigers have rejected a straight player swap from the Cowboys as North Queensland attempt to take Luciano Leilua immediately.

It is understood the Tigers were offered hooker Reece Robson in the hope that would allow Leilua to join the Cowboys next season.

However, the Tigers poured cold water on the deal and have so far blocked any attempt for Leilua to exit his deal 12 months early. The Tigers released a statement declaring their intention of keeping Leilua at the club next season despite his decision to ink a three-year deal with the Cowboys from 2023.

The two clubs remain in talks, with Cowboys coach Todd Payten sharing a close relationship with Tigers head of football Tim Sheens and recruitment manager Warren McDonnell.

Don't need Robson at all ... Great decision
I think Sheen is the man we have been looking for and other clubs will know we won't be walked over anymore.

Hodgson made sense because the clubs clearly put faith in Simpkin being the long term no.9 and it wouldn't have blocked his pathway. Robson on the other hand would have blown up that pathway.

Simpkin is still building to being an NRL hooker. His development has been hit by the 2 Covid breaks in the lower grades.

The next few years will be interesting for a number of promising young players that missed so much football.

Simpkin is still building to being an NRL hooker. His development has been hit by the 2 Covid breaks in the lower grades.

The next few years will be interesting for a number of promising young players that missed so much football.

Simpkin has all the skills a hooker needs to succeed in the NRL. He just needs more time to hone his craft, i.e. perform those skills at a higher success rate. Once he gets the small mistakes out of his game, he'll become more confident and we'll see how good he really is.

He reminds me of a young-gun cricket batsman who has all the shots, but has an error in his game which will get him out just has he's looking good. We saw this with the forward passes and failure to cover at marker.
