What's good !?

Sorry mate, don't have an update but I'd say our chances are improving after LL signing. I don't think we'll know anything until the borders open. I heard the Cowboys are shopping Jordan McLean around. If they can't offload him they won't be able to offer Luki or Nanai anything decent. I'd double down and go for the both of them.

Great idea.
Realistic too.

McLean - no thanks.

Thanks for posting.

Better off shopping in Doubles - Especially if we're asking young blokes to re-locate.
Much more chance of it happening if a best mate is coming with them.

I've also had this opinion when shopping O/S, Cherry picking is harder than pack hunting.

Is what we did with Simpkin / Hoffman.

They're probably mates with Tuki too.

A good judge told me the other day Christian Ma’anaima might be one of our best signings. We won't be chasing front rowers with Stef, Twal, Musgrove, Seyfarth and Ma'anaima Joffa and Tuki. Reckons Ma'anaima is as good as Stef!

What’s the deal with him, he’s training with us isn’t he? Development contract?

Articles already been posted.
I'll post it again, please don't get upset.

The Wests Tigers have picked up a handy front-rower from Newcastle who could push for a top grade spot next season.

Christian Ma’anaima was in the Knights’ NRL squad this year but had no chance to show his wares behind the likes of the Saifiti brothers and David Klemmer.

The big middle forward turns 21 next year and will start the season in NSW Cup and wait for an opportunity.

A strong player with a good motor, he could prove another astute buy for the Tigers.

Nothing official from the club though?

Oh you mean this

2022 NSW Cup squad
NRL train-and-trial players: Ben Stevanovic, Billy Stapleton, **Christian Ma’anaima,** Iverson Fuatimau, Junior Pauga, Liam Scolari, Logen Dillon, Rua Ngatikaura, Tom Freebairn.

Wot about the Bulldogs out there spending like wild men in the dark , def should be an enquiry into this

This from Gould who stated on Ch 9 Monday League show that when asked about the Tigers he said that the only way for clubs like the Tigers and lower ranked clubs is to build within (developing juniors)..'its not a short term fix'. Well the hypocrisy is mind blowing.

Whys that make him a hypocrite? He's right...
The Dogs and Parra aren't clubs like the Tigers - They have money - That they like to spend on the Football Dept.
I remember a few years back now, When the Wests Group (Ashfield / Campbelltown) and Balmain Leagues put in 150k each (300k Total) To the Tigers Football dept.
Canterbury Leagues put in 4 mill.

Dogs were playing in GF's, We were overpaying Adam Blair.

The Dogs and Parra have money ? Thought we were all operating under the same cap. lol

We are - Some of the NRL Clubs actually have business men running them though, And therefore
operate a little better under the cap than we do.

Hi all, in regards to Luki, dont get too excited a mate from work was talking to a Cowboys insider and he wants to stay in Queensland and the Cowboys are very worried about the Dolphins coming in with a big offer for 23

Therein lies the problem, he wants to stay in Qld. Hopefully, money talks.

Hope so but Dolphins also have a bucketload ready as well.

Give me a break. You're talking about 2 clubs that were caught heavily breaching the cap for several years. Not the best examples.

Brent Read said today that we knocked back a player swap attempt from the cowboys for LL. Anyone know who it was?

Maclean is my guess.

Dogs cap is managable on paper, just cruels them holding onto any decent junior 4 some time, dump 5 players at 1/2 price, bring in 2 second tier players,an above averge joe,2 600,000 players

There is one problem for the tigers with any proposed swap deal, the target has to be willing to sign a contract with us

This is why I’d love to see us re-sign Stef off the back of the Papalii deal. There’s some positive signs there which other players would no doubt be aware of.

I wouldn’t mind knowing why despite the fanfare of his proposed talent he left Newcastle whilst part of the top 30 squad and joined us on a NSW cup contract. Not even a train and trial.
Big demotion really. Why would anyone make that decision? What is a NSW cup contract these days? Is it still part time?

And your point?
One of them built a top 4 Squad, The other has had a couple cracks at winning the comp.
I know where I'd rather be.

You also forget we've been done for busting the cap a couple times also.
