I reckon Cowboys and Tigers won't be able to make a deal and Luciano sticks around until '23.

There's only a few specific players we want it seems and the cowboys don't want to let them go, plus the players might not even want to come here

I agree. I think that's how this will be played out. Then LL does one of two things with us in 2022. He has a real dig and shows the cows why they should get excited about 2023 or he walks around kicking stones like his big bro and ends up in NSW Cup.

If he’s going to play it out I’d like to see him front a camera and tell fans and members that he’s committed to a finals run with WT this year. Won’t happen though.

If we rate Luki the Cowboys must too. Why would they contemplate weakening their strength by offering him up to get LL a year earlier. Can't see a swap happening unless they have a player that wants out that we rate of equal ability.

Maybe, though they want Lucy as a player and expect to play him in all 25 rounds, whereas they would likely be hoping that Luki will be ready to contribute more than previously. So a big difference for mine and especially so if WT are signing him for 23 onwards.

That makes sense to me if Reese Robson was on 700k. I struggle to get my head around the complexities of the salary cap.

I don't believe Robson is the quality of hooker the Eels would want. Besides we already have Papali'i, why not secure Luki as well. The Cowboys are going to have to come up with a better player than Robson.

The Cows offered him 4x Years at 700K.

For me the disappointing thing about Luciano is that he "loves the Wests tigers" but we just couldn't match the price. But you look at the plus side Wests Tigers are starting to hold their ground eg Hodgson, Luciano. (Thanks Sheens).
I am very happy with the club because 700k for an attacking second row but horrific defender is too much. Happy Tigers didn't try to match price. But 600k for Dally-M second rower of the year is awesome. (probably a bargain).
We definitely need to bolster the second row room. ATM its Tuki, Blore, Garner, Seyfarth, Tuilagi, Joffa and Peach. Also there's O'kane, Tumeth and Saukuru.
Some of those don't really count but the experience and size is definitely not there.
But excited for players like Blore and Tuki to see the progress they make.
Happy with where this side is going.
