From my understanding fox was encouraged by family to sign with Bellamy (he’ll make you a star). At that stage our club was a basket case for a range of reasons….I think he has made the right decision. No point rehashing this....we are a different club.

Larry's right with this one , he was talking on Fox about it , his family convinced him to sign with Melbourne , from the Foxes mouth himself only a few days ago

I don't think JAC would be the footballer he is today without Bellamy's influence (or Smith ,Cronk and Slater :wink: )

Sharks officially released Hodkinson to Manly. If there is any truth to the Taupau rumours which make zero sense to me he will leave soon. Manly don’t have the coin to take on contracts unless someone leaves.

Manly were on overs without Hodkinson .. pretty sure the signing of Joel Thomspon put them right over .. will be very interesting indeed to what happens here .. ?? There are a couple of big boppers in there I wouldn't mind getting to assist us up front .. !! I'm hearing it's Walker to Souths, and Taupau to the Rorters - apparently they have plenty of $$ still under the cap left … cough cough bull$hit .. !!

I do know Sharks are looking to sign Taupau to replace Gallen. Hooper today shot down the Curtis Rona rumour said it was dead spoke to his manager, WT and ARU.
Sharks contact who told me they were after Taupau believes Kev is going to ESL which is where the Rona interest stems from.
Have to wait and see I guess but pretty strong that Sharks will pay big money for Taupau

So we currently have 27 top tier NRL players on our roster .. we need to have 30 come the end of June 2018\. If Kev has gone to the ESL that leaves us with 26 so will need to find 4 top tier NRL to fill our roster .. ??

On the Tapau story, Sharks can afford it next year with Gallen and Lewis most likely leaving, but the roosters, you have to be kidding, they have Crighton coming on a near million dollar deal, plus the other million dollar deals done in the last 12 months to Cronk, Tedesco and Cordner.

These whispers about KN are getting louder by the minute but if they're true I can't fault him for wanting the move but WT might have to say no until we sort out replacements. By my reckoning we've already lost three centres who we thought would be first grade candidates this year (Simona, Milne and Suli) and Kev would be the fourth. We simply have no depth in that position with no-one ready to step up from ISP although Robson was impressive on Saturday and could be a good player in a year or two. It would be reckless in the extreme to let Kev go until we have secured a couple of first grade centres.

If Barba comes back it will be with the Sharks also, Cleary will re-sign with Penrith, Mansour will definitely be a Rooster and if Carney was allowed back I reckon Manly will be able to get him on the cheap - he'll just be happy to be back in the NRL so will probably play for biscuits.

For me this is the interesting thing this year - you have to have a squad of 30 by June 30\. No idea how we go about this as any team who releases a player has to sign a player. We are stuck looking at super league or ISP. Can’t see a top liner coming across this year.

No way we can let Naiqama go as we’ll have to centres left in the squad.
