PANTHERS TO LOSE GRAND FINAL STAR

The Panthers realise they can't hang onto their entire powerhouse squad for 2023 and one man they may reluctantly cut loose is in-form forward Spencer Leniu.

The Dragons, who have lost several experienced forwards including Josh McGuire and Tariq Sims for next season, are leading the hunt for Leniu.

The 22-year-old Kiwi has been a big improver throughout 2022 and has the ability to make the hard yards and bend the defensive line back.

Several other club have expressed interest in Leniu but at this early stage, the Dragons appear the best fit for the Samoan international.
Ffs, surely he would be of interest to the tigers??

Great faith from Sheens and co. Blore had locked down the left edge starting job for 2022 before injury prior to the first trial of the year.

Only thing stopping him being a permanent fixture as a starter moving forward is health.

Extra year allows him to just focus on footy.

Blore plays and trains with an intensity like few others at the club, been his downfall injury wise but the kind of young guy this club needs more of. Leads through actions, commitment and won’t take a backwards step.
Thanks for the update Mrs Blore

I agree, a balanced team needs a strong representation of experience, provided it’s driven by other motivation. Peachey came to us with heaps of experience, so too did Nofa who had to be sent to Melbourne for behavioural modification.
If building a successful team was rocket science, we’d be asking whats that big cream coloured ball we see in the night sky? 😂 no, seriously, where I think it breaks down for us and some other teams is the drift away from task focussed evidence to making judgement calls based on a false perception of outcomes.
In other words we are pissing into a strong southerly and hoping our pants stay dry.

People criticising re-signing Blore should rethink it. Would be a small deal and is worth a shot for a 2nd rower who has shown a lot in the brief time he spent on the field. He's had unfortunate long term injuries and you don't know how he'll come back but he strikes me as a committed player and it's good to reward those types, even if it hasn't gone well yet.

Just for comparison, a player like Billy Smith at the roosters has been given plenty of money and opportunity despite many longterm injuries. Hasn't worked out yet but even the best run club in the NRL will back injury prone players with potential.

When on the field, Blore is a very good edge defender who showed flashes in attack as well. That's exactly what we need. Find me an available forward out there who can do that for cheaper. I also like backing players with good attitude who have had unfortunate injuries.
The best ability is availability

The reason we are targeting fringe players is the fact that established ones don't want to come...
This is it.

Players, and even worse player managers, don't respect us.

Dream for fringe players though, get your name out there for a season or two, cry mental health, move on to a premiership threat.

Madge was always full of praise for "Blorey" as he called him. When Blore was injured and Madge was told to stop using the word "boys" Madge also stopped praising any of the players by name,

Noffa and Brooks weren’t smart enough to follow the script 😂

Munster imo the best footballer in the NRL. Moses has been outstanding for the Eels. I hate to have them at WTs.
Munster won’t come here to play with this pack of discards mate. Keep dreaming. As for Moses, he’s not much better than what we got, just in a better team. How much evidence do you need that he won’t be a success here? That’s right we already tried it 😂

If reports are true that Moses's camp has reached out to Storm and Roosters it's clear he wants nothing to do with us - all the noise coming out about us and his camp is purely to get some interest up and use us as leverage

Munster would be excellent but he'll be at the Dolphins it's pretty much destiny

Depends if he has an interest in Sydney or not

A Sheens strategy! Good mates with the author Tony Adams. Probably told him not to mention the Tigers because we are seriously in the hunt. Usually players mentioned that we are into, we are not or part of a bigger strategy. I wouldn't be surprised if the whole Moses thing is deflecting that we are really after Dylan Brown.
